It sickens me that there are people so callused they don’t see how much he’s suffering. @marilynbrown5274 Жыл бұрын
Oh please? Let someone try to push You into something you are extremely afraid of. You want to hear reality? I went to high school with a girl 13 yrs. old. She was at an amusement park..and her friends wanted her to go on a roller coaster. She was terribly afraid..but they kept urging her to do so. So, she went..and was so frightened she stood up at the peak of the ride..and fell out..bouncing her body on the way down. She DIED two weeks later. Yeah, just like that.
@MrDanny1145 Жыл бұрын
He does not have anxiety. He melts down and cries over every frustration. Watch the clip of them playing bubble soccer, where he cried hysterically when he lost. That's what's going on here. Glad the parents are pushing him to try new things and not giving in to his tantrums.

@msprecious34986 жыл бұрын
Natalie D exactly my point , I don’t think I have watched an episode where he hasn’t been negative/ in tears. Mostly, the parents allow it and his siblings feed into it, so “ it works” , even over the tiniest things. I understand he is emotional however , why arent they all saying, “ Alex, wipe you tears , there is no need to cry over that, just talk”. This isn’t a good example as I understand/ respect his fear to zipline but my message is in general! The wind blows the wrong way and he starts in tears..I hope the show isn’t feeding in this for ratings! I always taught my kids, if you don’t feel comfortable doing something, then don’t! Other than schooling, swimming and socializing, there should be choices in life! He literally said I don’t want to, they made him! Parenting skills need improvement for sure or he will bring his tears into his teens!

I understand the sentiment of pushing your child to face their fears but it rubbed me the wrong way of his mom saying “I have to do a lot of things I don’t want to do, that’s life.” because not really. HAVING to do something important that you don’t want to is inevitable, but he didn’t HAVE to zip line.
@dw-oc7uj6 жыл бұрын
but the mom is teaching her kid preserverance. this is just another way to teach children they have to push on in times of fear and that preservere through their fears and realizing the end result wasn't so scary at all.
@blonded64066 жыл бұрын
forest princess Like I said, understand the sentiment and I don’t think Zip lining was as scary as Alex made his head believe it was... but sometimes things aren’t always necessary and although they got him to go through with it I think they had a poor method of comforting when Alex really needed it
@dw-oc7uj6 жыл бұрын
blinded people should stop making a big deal out of nothing. y'all act like they made him shield himself against a gunman and told him to face off against a terrorist. it's just zip lining!! he needs to do it and get over it because it's safe anyway it's not like they weren't professional help and professionals on site doing the job. babying little kids doesn't allow them to get out of their comfort zones and face life. i don't agree with babying children since the couple is very successful in their life because they didn't allow their size to get in the way of them making an honestliving

I see a lot of comments thinking this was okay, but if a child is afraid of something like this to the point that they are crying, you shouldn't be forcing them to do it. Even at 13 years old. Death isn't something to play around with, and a fear of heights is anxiety driven by the thought of falling and dying. This was messed up. Awful parenting, and forced for the sake of getting a check from TLC.
