We never seen the rest of mason... But the canon good ending is that mason got shot in the legs. I am 99% sure he'd be in a wheelchair like woods. But he walks like nothing happened. THEORY: it's rare to see a 95 year old still stand this straight without a walker, a crutch or any assistance. He likely lived mostly in a wheelchair like woods, but he got prosthetic legs to maintain this posture.
