Screw the debate over how he identifies himself, the only crime here is the solid lack of viewership on these videos. If you open your ears and shut your mouth, you'll realize that Alex Newell is doing something we haven't been hearing for years -- he's making real, wholesome fucking music. No gimmicks, no recycled-ass pop song hooks, just raw talent and determination with a conspicous love for what he does. Alex is an electric - even addictive - up-and-coming superstar in a genre of music that has been in need of a fresh breath of air like this for years. I wholeheartedly cannot wait until he drops more dance tracks that I can put them on repeat over and over again. I gladly purchased this EP and I would encourage others to do so, just so that art such as this continues to find its way back to music.
