Quality over quantity, Ilia: - Ended the longest (current at the time) title reign in the UFC - Became the first one to beat Volk at featherweight - Became the first one KO Volk at featherweight - Became the first one to KO Holloway - He beat arguably the best two FW fighters EVER in absolutely spectacular fashion, inside 2 and 3 rounds. Knocking both out in a small class. - Pereira had weaker opposition - All were pure strickers - Pereira ducked the #1 contender, Ankalaev. It’s a no-brainer, Pereira would’ve needed to KO Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier in a single year to match Ilia’s accomplishments. Don’t forget the FW division is way deeper than the LHW division. Beating the #8 in LHW is like beating the #15-#20 in FW.
