Rental renders himself pointless. How many times does he need to say 'I don't know. At least though, even he, is rapidly realising the pointlessness of this whole putrid government.

You don't seem to have any idea about the monetary aspects of your piece. The current natural rate in the UK according to the BSC Consulting Group is between 4.75 % and 5.25% and should not be reviewed until September 2025. Any drop in interest rates would increase inflation substantially following the injection of 11 billion pounds into public sector wages without productivity gains. Monetary policy is not the issue here. Many in the monetary markets are used to having NO working fiscal policy to set market prices for too long. This is set to continue with the elections across the geopolitical horizons. Until new governments set their fiscal policies, market prices will not be stable. Any attempts to change monetary policy without fiscal policy been set will increase volatility and inflation across a number of nations. At which point, there is an increasing danger of inflation rising without regulatory intervention on consumer credit levels.. The blind and severely disabled are likely to see the 2024 interest rate of 12.3 % to 14-2 % in 2025 due to failed fiscal policy pushing up transport and electricity costs to high levels.
