Wax Doctor sampled Curtis Blow - "Do The Do" for "Kid Caprice" - on Metalheadz. First time this break was used in Drum & Bass. Bukem sampled Kid Caprice for "Horizons" as Wax Doctor left a piece clean to sample. (check for yourselves) Big mistake. Bukem took all the credit for this break as Horizons was epic. It really was, still is. It's forever known as the Horizons break, but it's really the Kid Caprice break by way of Curtis Blow. X

My favourite use of this break is in a track called 'Artemis Temple' by Rowpieces. You can definitely hear the influences in the drums and the bass. Hah :p Check it out if you love that sorta stuff. Heres a link kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJvCoIuBpMRpiJo

Jungle has nothing to do with intelligent drum & bass.
@maverick50393 ай бұрын
It has everything to do with intelligent drum and bass I was there and saw it evolve in 94/95 raving at those venues ie club UN/ Roller Express/ Baguleys/ Astoria/ Orange Hipodrome/ Club Telepaphy. It was LTJ Bukem who moved more towards the jungle sound in 93 from the hardcore sound of the early 90’s. I’ve been in the scene since 1990 where were you? As you totally have no clue or understanding of the history of the scene ie you were NOT there!!! I still recall all the pirates from Rush Fm, Kool Fm, Pulse FM, Eruption FM and Rude FM. No jungle = No intelligence = No Drum n Bass scene as we see it to day. That tune was aired as a Dub plate on Fabio and GrooveRiders Kiss FM Jungle show so it has every thing to do with jungle! They were the first to play jungle at that time on a commercial station which played cutting edge music and was known for pushing cutting edge dance music, now Kiss FM is a Genetic commercial station trying to be like Radio One and lost its status as the one and only commercial station to push underground sounds.

Cave of the Past (Unreleased) - Earthbound Jokes 0:25 - That one Hentai Sound from "S3RL - Hentai" Also at 0:25 - Redial's (From Bomberman Heroes) Drum and Bass starts Playing. 1:39 - 420 MACHINTOSH Starts Playing in the Background. (Also plays the Simpson's Theme Song in that Soundfont at some point.) 2:29 - 420 MACHINTOSH Stops Playing and we only hear Redial's Drum and Bass. 2:54 - The Same thing as SiivaGunner's Alpha Mix plays again. 3:17 - We hear 3 Stomps from "Chip Da Ripper Freestyle" along with Venom Sans saying "Yeah" and then shortly after the Saxiphones from "We are Number 1 Start Playing" 3:43 - The "Hey" from "We are Number 1" is heard and then "Bad and Bouji" Starts playing. (Only the Lyrics after the "Hey" in that song.) 4:33 - Everything Stops and the Saxiphons now play The Simpson's Theme Song. (Because no GRAND DAD at all is Allowed in this Event.) 4:45 - The Oppisite is True now. 5:22 - BI*** YOU!!! Is Played before Cutting it off and then ending the rip.
