This show was so good! It's a shame that they didn't invest more in the advertisement. This is better than half the YA shows they still have running. I can't understand how stuff like 'the rings of power', 'the summer I turned pretty', 'riverdale' are running/ran for so long, whilst 'the oa', 'the society', 'the wilds', this and more are cancelled. It's honestly sad to see how much the quality of tv has regressed. (Plot, and writing wise. Sometimes cinematography too, although that is mostly better.)

horrifyingly bad tv show, bad adaptation; ruining and diluting the action, taking out action scenes, less gritty, less action, less expansion, poor choices aging up Alex (ruining the whole premise), giving Alex a team (a doofy friend who wasn't doofy in the series) and girls; very bad tv show, not doing some of the books; movie was better; books are superior.

It's not meant to be an exact adaptation, it's more like a show that took inspiration from the book series. The show was, in my opinion, really really well executed, and they were still able to have the plot make sense and be exciting to watch, despite its differences from the books.
