There are some drummers that I watch that make me think "that's one kick ass drummer". But with Alex the only thing I can think is "holy fuck I gotta go play drums now". His drumming is so badass that it ignites a spark that makes my body and soul crave for drumming... That's how kick ass and inspirational this dude is.

Hahaha, the irony of leaving a band called "Good Tiger", & then being asked to fill in for "Bad Wolves" immediately after, is not lost upon me. A funny coincidence to say the least.
Ah damn, well that's bittersweet. Whatever is best for you Alex!

Dang dude, thank you so kindly for saying that (& for taking the time to read it). Respect where respect is due ya know - the guys in B.W. contacted me & hired me to learn the set "just in case". A job is a job, & I am immensely appreciative of any work that I can get as a musician (also... the songs are WAY fun to play! Haha). They were incredibly professional the whole time, very communicative, & generally super nice. I didn't even mind in the SLIGHTEST that they didn't end up needing me. In fact, they were so nice that I was just happy to know that John was doing OK & was able to finish off the tour with HIS band. A couple of weeks later, they invited me out to the Baltimore date on the tour, so I went & met them / hung in person too. Great guys, great band, & great experience. Good people RULE !

Idk how often you take suggestions for stuff to cover, but every time I watch one of your vids I wish I could see your take on one of Conjurers tracks. The way you hit would be perfect for what they play. You doing Retch would be insane.
@andyham60946 жыл бұрын
This kit sounds great, but imo your Tama starclassic B.B. sounds the best by far, and then my second favorite is your Tama silverstar kit, then this dynamic kapur kit would come in third. Still an amazing kit and sounds absolutely great but I prefer the sound of your other two kits more. But I love to switch up kits too. Sometimes it gets stale playing the same kit all day everyday every time. If you have numerous kits it is very inspiring to set up a different kit every once in a while and rotate them and then obviously have your main kit for main big shows, studio recording, then have at least a backup kit to either rehearse with or keep at your rehearsal spot or to tour and gig with or use for smaller shows. My main kit a 5 piece Tama starclassic B.B. hyperdrive kit, backup second kit is a Tama silverstar, and third kit is a Tama superstar. Can’t go wrong with Tama!
@mdterps10426 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, I feel you! To be honest though, I"m not sure which I like best yet. I need to track with this one a couple more times before I decide, but I quite liked how it turned out here. They're all different & unique in their own ways though, & in general I just love tracking different drums / kits to try new stuff out (I am a nerd, what can I say!). Just wait til ya'll see / hear the kit I ordered recently... should be here sometime late August...!!! ;)
@andyham60946 жыл бұрын
Alex Rüdinger yeah that’s why I always follow you cause you nerd out on gear just like I do, especially Tama and meinl gear. Your new kit you ordered?!? Tama star kit? Or Tama starclassic bubinga? My guess is a Tama starclassic bubinga or starclassic maple but the bb’s will always be my favorite since that’s what I have in these hyperdrive sizes which I am obsessed with. Bbs are my favorite drums in the world. Damnnnn now I’m excited to see what it is. Huge fan of you bro. My band Marzy maddox had Anup mix drums for us and the album came out great. Anup is really becoming a great engineer and mixer as well as drummer. He also played drums on the new album before I joined. The drums in this video have the same qualities as on our record Catching Up to Massimo. Tama and a Meinl all day.
