I first heard Alex Shultz live with Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers with Jimi Bott on drums in Southern California. I've seen him live many times including in San Francisco at Slims. A great recording where Alex goes off is Rod Piazza and The Mighty Flyers Live at BB Kings in Memphis, TN. I also love his playing with William Clarke.
