How come Gonzy fought in the Semifinal since he lost from Paradox? Shouldn't he be eliminated from the top 12?

@@mar__k There were 24 people in the battle grid, after the battles there were no 3 participants left who had to fight with the judges, after the battles with the judges there are 3 again and since one of them has no opponent, he chooses someone from the battle grid. In 2017, Frankie J lost in the house battle in the first round, then Toyin, who is his girlfriend, calls him to the semifinals, loses to him and Frankie J wins the SDF final against Tony McGregor. Anything can happen on SDF, if you are watching these battles for the first time then the system of battles may not be clear to you, why someone calls someone from the grid, why in controversial cases the viewers decide and so on. I was live at SDF in 2016 and 17, it was not clear to me from the beginning either.

I think the way it works is, the competition starts with 24 dancers, then 12, then 6, then 3. Those 3 compete against the judges, and two of those winners face off against each other (semifinal #1) while the third gets to pick one of the dancers that already lost (semifinal #2). In this case, Alex must have picked Gonzy.
