it was so frustrating everytime you stepped on those boxes ghosts came out and killed you, then once all your lives were gone that was it, you had to start all over again from the beginning!! we never had no memory cards back then!!!!

This ending sequence on the stone plate has a major flaw on it. The sequence is drawn on japanese reading sequence, after more than 20 years I figured it out, never had thought of it that way, but if you look at it, the sequence is written from up to down and from right yo left, it's really tough for a brazilian kid to figure it out on that time... It's really a bogus! Shame on you sega! HHAhAhAhA

​@@scorp318You get an item that tells you the order. The downside is that it only makes sense if you read like you would read tradition Japanese (start on the right and read downwards). I'm sure that tripped up pretty much everyone outside of Japan... Also, holy old comment. My nephew is younger than the original comment and he can drive...

To all wondering, you get the code on an autographed note from a few levels earlier. Then you go to your pause menu & read it backwards & simply input it in that order & that's how you get the code.

I'm suddenly reminded on Kings Quest 4 by watching this - how you can get to the very end of the game, beat the last boss, but accidentally die by falling off the path (or in this case, by touching the spikes)... no such thing as a break when you're a hero, I guess. ;)

marcos Aguiar você tinha que salvar um menino no primeiro castelo e depois tinha uma parte que um cara te falava um código, se você tivesse libertado o menino. Demorei muito pra descobrir isso na época. É um injusto, algo que você precisa fazer no meio do jogo pra pegar um password, que só vai precisar lá no final. Ainda mais que eu não entendia nada de inglês kkkkkkk O que ajudou é que na caixa do Master System tinha uma dica falando pra resgatar esse menino no primeiro castelo.

That's correct. If u had the European version of the game. When I played on emulator I thought the rice treat was a forget graphics glitch until I also saw it as an emoji so googled it.

Sonic games are better than Alex Kidd ones. Dude, you can literally die for losing Rock Paper or Sicsors. Don't get me wrong, i think Alex Kidd in the miracle World is a good game, considering that it was released in the 80's, but Sonic just did it better. Yuji Naka created such good games, and Naoto Oshima designed an awesome character. Those guys even created another great saga, NiGHTS, which i think should be more popular and should have more games.

i beat this when i was 8, i cant remeber how i figured out the code, there was now internet in 1992 to look it up either, if you mess up the code at the end there, ghost come and fuck you up , and its like 10 hours to try to get back there again , and you just want to fucking hang yourself fot getting so fucking close. then you finally do beat it , and you just smash your sega right there and then for macking such a hard game with such a shit ending
