Like being aware of the situation, reading certain social cues, basically reading between the lines in situations and being able to react appropriately.

No one stays young forever, no matter how much people say age is just a number. Though time is never in a hurry but it is always moving, hence there is always something new taking place, if not, even being replaced. But this is not such a bad thing because this is also what makes life beautiful. When nothing lasts forever, people learn to value the present. Even if time is always moving, it doesn’t know how to go back to the past. Fleeting. Fragile. And constantly changing-life. ps: Thank u for listening to my ted talk. @@editazilinskyte3681 I can agree with you, but even I (who is younger than both of you) am in the middle when it comes to slang. I am aware of some things, but I highly doubt I know as much as you do. I think it's more about exposure (like you said). I just got sad because Jae's whole audience are Youths (at heart and mind) and 2. I get upset whenever people who are still young down themselves for being "too old and unrelatable". It kind of drives me nuts - but I'm probably thinking too deeply into it.

I mean there basically a gap of 12-18year olds that are in charge of what's popular with the teens. Everyone else is an adult. It is very normal and even more relatable to not know what teens are up to. So whenever someone says they are to old for the trends they don't mean boo hoo I'm not a teen. They mean I am an adult and don't know what the kids are up to.

wow what he said at 0:46 is true though- Spanish is so rich with words it's-- rough (I'm Latina) and i still struggle. speaking Spanish is one thing but- writing and reading is like a whole new level :(( i felt that when he said about parents talking smack about him and not understand since I am trilingual, i just learned English 6 years ago but before that my parents would say stuff about me in English and i wouldn't know.

So i thought id help jae out a bit with the new lingo, yano? So letz *geddit* In with word one we have "beutiful" now the slag for that would be one of either *sir nut cracker the 5th* or could be *goldie* Word two is "funny" this is an out dated word and we now normely use *jaes twitter* it is very commonly used among the kids. "Talent" is coming in for word 3 now the slang for this is quite simple it is *Day6* pronounced *best-band-ever* And for the final word of the day we have "perfection", now this word has many slag to it and it is up to you which word feels right. So the choices are *bob* / *sungjin* (if you are in a fancy area) *jae* / *chicken little* (for the more relaxed setting) *brian* (for the right and more commonly used version)/ *young k* *wonpil/ piano man* (probably my favourite but thats my opinion) *dowoon* / *dough* and if we are feeling funky *drum* other slag also include *my days* or *day6 discography* as you can tell this world really has many different slag words to it. Spanish is actually one of the easier languages for an English speaker to learn. Spanish is also a latin language. Depending on where you live, Spanish may actually be more useful to you.
