Alexander Cozens (1717-1786) - British landscape painter in watercolours, born in Russia, in Saint Petersburg. He taught drawing and wrote treatises on the subject, evolving a method in which imaginative drawings of landscapes could be worked up from abstract blots on paper. His son was the artist John Robert Cozens.

Hello friends! As promised to our follower @marque22ful here is the video of Alexander Cozens, he was an experimental painter. There are 232 artworks at TATE BRITAIN in the Prints and Drawings Rooms, but view only by appointment. His son John Robert Cozens was also a painter of romantic watercolour landscapes.
