I miss those hits from when he was here in Montreal. 👏

Good on Romanov for not dropping the gloves after a clean hit. He knew he didn't do anything wrong there. That's the way you do it!

@@nettlecarrier8259just cause it's 100% clean doesn't mean he doesn't have the right to a fight lmao that's why it's in game cause if someone wants to go they should go it was cowards way out not dropping em but I expected nothing less from the Islanders
@Murph_.20 сағат бұрын
I agree with the announcer that says he's tired of the fact that every time there's a big hit, guys have to defend themselves. I mean, have hockey players become soccer players these days?
@Leafsdude19 сағат бұрын
Hockey has become like soccer. Let 'em fight. If you don't wanna fight, don't play like a tough guy. You gotta back it up in a sport like hockey. Romanov is a...fill in the blank.

@MichaelOConnor5317 сағат бұрын
What? You are making the argument that more fighting would be closer to soccer than less fighting? Your argument is idiotic. I agree with the stance that you shouldn't have to fight for a clean hit. However, if a player is quick to drop the gloves, that does not make it like soccer....
@tommargarites28117 сағат бұрын
Yep, you can count on romanov to throw at least one big hit each game in which he plays. It's a beautiful thing to see. He used to do this when he played for the habs as well. We miss this guy, Islander fans are lucky to have him.

Romanov was crushed later in the game on a clean hit and Martin tried to fight Jeanott. And Romanov tried to fight also after a clean hit in the same game. 😂😂 The only difference is Laff is a youngster on the Kings and one of the tough guys jobs is to protect the kids like it’s always been in the NHL.
@brandonvanl90023 сағат бұрын
He should be protecting himself first. Fighting an opponent for a guy who got caught with his head down doesn't help "protect" anyone. In fact it likely will only have the opposite effect being that the crumpled guy now believes he wasnt doing anything wrong rather than correcting and keeping his head up next time
@btgkg96393 сағат бұрын
@ You protect the kids, that’s literally a tough guys job. This is one of the Kings young prospects and top producers, a player that definitely needs to be protected. He will learn by they hit itself to take better care of himself, but it’s Burroughs job to protect the kids. You don’t like it, get mad at one of the top 3 rules a tough guy goes by.
