Ukraine under the Germans was a Nazi state which murdered millions - Jews, Poles, Russians, and others. The national hero of the current junta in Kiev was a notorious anti- Semite. That says it all. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has pledged to veto any EU aid to Ukraine, calling Vladimir Zelensky an “enemy” and accusing him of causing “problems” for Slovakia. Kiev halted the transit of Russian natural gas earlier this month, jeopardizing Slovakia’s energy security. Fico, who survived an assassination attempt by a pro-Ukraine activist last year, criticized Zelensky on Tuesday for refusing to renew the gas transit contract with Russia’s state energy company, Gazprom. “Our enemy is Zelensky. Zelensky caused the problems we have. I don’t like him because he harms Slovakia,” Fico said, as reported by local media. - RT

The War in Europe was primarily won by Russia, with a great deal of assistance from the USA, in the form of massive bombing of German Cities and German Industry, which destroyed most of the German manufacturing Plants. Had the air war not taken place and the whole of Europe remained in German control, it is likely that the Russians would not have defeated the German Armed Forces - and likely that the line would have been held in Poland or close. The War would then have likely ended in a stalemate and a vast borderland of armed static nature. Shortly afterwards the Germans would have developed a form of the Atomic bomb and although Hitler was somewhat against the use of Atomic Weapons, they would realize the utility.

You can say that allied forces were fighting against Germany and that is true, but in this particular case, as well as for liberation of entire Poland the only part of "allied forces" that accomplish this feat was Red Army, so just the simple honesty would demand to recognize this fact and give credit where credit is due. Having said that, I have to admit it is still a progress, since many years ago, on similar occasion I red in Canadian newspaper that it were actually Canadians who liberated this camp.

With the Ukraine elections being cancelled would that not mean the whole of Ukraine's parliament is illegitimate? It's a mess trying to figure out who is actually in charge. Possibly the senior commander of Ukraine armed forces is the man who needs to approve anything. Alexander we need your legal analysis on this aspect.
@S1lverarrow19 сағат бұрын
If you mean parlamental election, than yes, the parlament is illegitimate since 2023 actually. According to article 5 of Ukrainian constitution - Ukrainian people is the only source of political power, and they practice their power via elected government (presisent and parlament) AND local elected authority. So in case President and Parlament (Rada) is no longer legit, the local elected authority are now in charge of the country by their respected administrative region. I think each governers in Ukraine now are in charge of their oblast by constitution. I think this is the reason why Russia after failed to negotiate with Zelenskiy government in 2022 in Istanbul - tried to negotiate with individual local authority of different Ukrainian region. Because when Zelensky and Rada lost heir legal status, the local authority can legally conduct any negotiation with Russia under protection of constitution. That is why Zelensky counter that with presidential decree to outlaw any negotiation with Russia, it was issued in 2022 when Zelensky was still legitimate head of state, and can be only removed by next president, or by Rada, or maybe be Constitutional court. Remember that Crimea and both Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts used their constitutional right to declear independence from Ukraine right after Yanukovich was overthrew in 2014, and new government was not formed yet, thus giving them right to act as legal absolute authority of their respected region, this is why even the military stationed in those region obbey the local authority and came under their direct command. I believe Putin is a strategic genius, and the reason he keep bringing up that Zelensky decree, is because he wants it to be lifted, opening a windows of opportunity for many regions to declear independence from Ukraine as soon as it is lifted, places like Kharkov and Odessa would be first to do that and welcome Russian soldiers in once UAF collapse. Russia would like to integrate those region together with local governing structure in, rather than to be forced to manage those region themself. They would have to send people from Russia to form the local authority from scratch, it is harder then it sound. Those people would be unfamilar with local issues, lack of knowledge of the place and generally not like to stay there. The reason why Crimea was a successful case, was because it joined Russia as a whole piece with existing governing structure, Crimean were happy because on next week after referendum they start getting Russian passport and receive pension and subsidies from Russia, money flew in to repair and build up infrastructure, to maintain schools and hospital, all because the local authority existed to execut all of that.

@@S1lverarrowVery informative and interesting. However was there not a tentative agreement in Instanbul before Boris Johnson convinced Zelensky to back off? It was shown by Putin several times, once to the African delegation where he pointed out that Ukraine had signed their initials to the agreement in principal. If each oblast could declare their own intentions as you say, well things could get mighty interesting.
@S1lverarrow7 сағат бұрын
@ramrod9556 yes there was, but it was in 2022, Zelenky was still legitimate. Russia tried to negotiate with local authority expecting that soon or later the government of Zelensky would collapse or somehow expired by 2023. Right before Russia start SMO Zelenky rating was all time low. Nobody expected he would even stay in Kiev, now we know he hide in bunker afraid to flee, its worse for him, nobody need a person who know so much.

@xawecki814912 сағат бұрын
@@dianag7179 Since you strive so much for honesty, why don't you tell Klaudia that Auschwitz, that was built in 1940, was build for Polish prisoners often randomly rounded up on the streets of Warsaw and other cities, and where some 70 thousand of them perish. Tell her also that the first victims were Soviet prisoners of war. That's when the gas chambers were used first. Jews started arriving in this camp only two years later in spring of 1942. Tell her also that according to historical records "... the first transport of Jews consisted of 999 prisoners, mostly considered asocial, from Ravensbrück concentration camp. They were assigned to be kapos for the Jewish women and were noted for their brutal behavior". Why not to be honest and reveal this fact? And one more thing; of course the camp was build by locals, not by Germans who as you must know belong to superior race over Slavs. Sensing how brave you are and how fiercely you fight for "truth" I can imagine that you would opt for executing squad rather than grab the shovel and stand with others in line.
