I've been where she was! I'm now in my 50ties and have finally learned what the problem was. The dizziness is actually called "disequilibrium". All our symptoms were due to unresolved childhood stress, resulting in weak adrenal gland function. A healthy diet, resolving suppressed emotions, regular exercise, relaxation techniques and some nutritional support geared towards the adrenal glands would have healed me decades ago. Back then, nobody knew how to figure out what was wrong with me. Unresolved childhood stress has devastating effects!

@If7065 can you tell me how you went about resolving childhood stress and what kind of foods you have had to help and what you take to support the adrenals and any exercise you do, I find exercise exhausting.

@@Julie-iw3mh I've done a lot of self analysis, and crying, and forgiving. It's helped so much. My exercise is very gentle. Walking, dancing, yoga, swimming. I eat a whole foods, plant exclusive diet, and I support with Magnesium, Vitamin D3, B12 & Zinc and drink mineralized water. I make sure I consume high amounts of vitamin C every day. I'm blessed with a great support system around me and my faith restores me every day. Hope that helps. 🙂

@@lf7065 thank you for your lovely reply. I try to do most of the things you do, yoga walking and would like to try swimming again although I found it exhausting last year. My diet is ok most of the time as long as I don't skip meals, I often have because so tired in the late afternoons and fall asleep on sofa. I don't have much support sadly so spend a lot of time alone, not helpful for my overthinking worrying mind.

Thank you Alexandria for sharing your story. I also had dizziness for 25 years and it was debilitating. I am also healed now. I was told I had all the same medical conditions as you such as vestibular migraines, Meniere’s, BPPV and I also did vestibular rehab. I also later developed food issues with Hashimoto’s and never realized these were TMS too. Dan helped me get better with all of that. I had burning tongue for a while. All these symptoms were due to TMS! Love these success stories and I continue to watch Dan’s videos everyday!

I needed to see her story today! ❤ thank you for sharing, Alexandra! I’m a mother of a 2 (almost 3 year old) and I feel like I’m failing her literally everyday being bedbound with migraines with aura, dizziness, and vestibular migraines. It’s truly such an awful feeling! It seems like I’ve lost EVERYTHING to these symptoms and I feel so guilty and so alone. So thank you so much for sharing and being an inspiration!!!

I’ve been where you are- raising a little one with those symptoms and a constellation of others- I’m sure you have them, too. What a wonderful example of resilience and strength you are for your daughter and what a story you’ll have to tell her someday. You’re GOING to get through this. It’s a matter of time. Keep sending your brain and nervous system messages of safety no matter how scary a symptom may feel in the moment. Keep looking into TMS, somatics, healing trauma, brain rewiring. Keep going!!🤍

Honestly this video means so much. I've had burning mouth, facial pain, vulvodynia, IC, and basically burning/tingling head to toe. I really am coming out the other side now thanks to you Dan. And the coaching group. At times, I feel myself getting a bit frustrated but I'm quick to remind myself how far I have come in 5 months after years of suffering. I know my symptoms will go, because I just don't care as much, I am safe. Even with a stressful life, I know I am safe. Somedays,, especially early in my journey, I had darker days, but with the correct mindset, I am having brighter and brighter days. I had so many labels TN, fibro, chronic pelvic pain and BM which were very scary. But that's all they were...scary, and by letting go of the fear, I let go of the symptoms. I totally believe this approach works for you, initially it might take a leap of faith, but my goodness, it's so worth it. Thank you Dan x

Bravo Alexandra ! What a power you had and have to go through all of this ! So sorry you had to miss some time with your little ones but I’m sure you now can give them abundantly what you want them to feel❤ We talk about our brain that is scared and misinformed but that misinformation is given us by others ( parents, SPECIALISTS, THERAPISTS etc.. and as a consequence we get on Google in the hope to find the right information, and spiral down even further.. Even the severity of the symptoms can traumatize us further. Thanks Dan to save everyone from these deep pits of despair just by offering the exact knowledge about what is going on and that way taking away the extreme fear. Thank you both❤

Thank you so much for this wonderful success story, after all you have been going through, Alexandra! I appreciate you very much!!! Wonderful conversation, Dan!!! Thank you both!❤❤❤ I´ve some memories of very frightening experiences in medical context during my childhood, too. Therefore I don´t trust any doctor at all. But just this morning I had a totally different experience. I had an appointment with an ophthalmologist and there I told about Mind-Body-Syndrom and PDP/PDS and the brain perceiving danger and therefore creating symptoms and so on. And guess what, she said to me: „You are on the right way. That´s the solution.“. Wow!!!!! I never expected to hear this in a medical practice, particularly here in Germany........

Just wanted to say well done Alexandra for eventually overcoming all your symptoms and for implementing all the strategies necessary to retrain your brain to a place of safety . You're a real Warrior Queen! I'm in the process of doing the very same thing with regards to ongoing symptoms including random episodes of dizziness. I know that my brain is stuck in this 'fight/flight' mode and that it is this that is causing my symptoms and that my body is not broken or defective. All my blood test results, brain scans, MRI results are clear so that means that I'm whole and healthy. My brain just has to learn that and I will teach it that there is no need to live in fear and believe the lies which are based on misinformation. Thank you for sharing your story with us. God bless you.🙏

In 2019 I learned about TMS, unfortunately it took me a couple more years to truly believe this was what I was dealing with. I found your videos in 2022 and started watching them daily. Thank you loads for sharing your story Alexandra. And thank you Dan for all you do and creating this platform where these stories can be shared. I have a history of about 7 years physical and mental complaints that, in hindsight, I can relate to TMS. Including dizziness and vertigo. I've had it extreme for months in a sense of that the room would be spinning whenever I either laid down flat or when i came up from a flat position; this in addition to having the wobbly/unstable feeling when standing. At some point I got scared to get on an escalator for instance. Also, whenever I was on a train platform and a train would pass by, it would feel as if I was going to fall over. Lately though it came back in a less severe form; now the room spins when I lay down or come up from a flat position, but really only for maybe 2 seconds. Whenever I'm up and about I don't have any form of vertigo or dizziness. For some reason, because it is very specific and short, I'm starting to think this might be due to either Benigne Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (the ear crystals moving) or because I have had jaw surgery a while back and I've read that this can be a side effect. I also realize that as long as I'm second guessing what it is, I'm not allowing myself to really believe it's TMS and might be the reason it's not going away. I'm looking to have a little more peace of mind because right now the symptoms match BPPV so accurately. I'm guessing my question is if anyone can relate to this specific symptom or if anyone has tips on how to really accept that this also is indeed TMS.

That's fantastic!!! Healed in six months. I realized I had TMS in June of 2024 and many syumptoms disappeared since then (or come and go on some days) but I still have trouble breathing when leaving the house to walk around - I have to breath out of my mouth and the breathing is very high in my upper chest - I need to stop every few blocks to catch up with my breath - this is extremely uncomfortable - I don't have trouble breathing on the trend mill or exercise bicyle at the gym but just when I leave the house and need to walk or travel somewhere. Any suggestions or insights?

If you have had your lungs checked out and are fine, then the difficulty breathing is just another perceived danger response. Put that in the same category as the other TMS symptoms you already eliminated. Have the same mindset towards that s you did the other symptoms that disappeared. You can do this.

Treat your mouth and tongue just like the other symptoms that have gone. They have the same root cause. And the same solution. The tongue is no different. The only reason it persists is due to the greater amount of fear and the "horrid" response to it. I'm not suggesting this is easy, but safety is the way forward just like your other symptoms.

How do others here process their childhood stress? Do you do it with a therapist and if so what kind ? I have a lot of unresolved childhood and adulthood trauma and grief and loss and heartbreak and feel my body is getting sicker and weaker. I just dont know where to go. Feel my body is close to giving up😢

All this is encouraging and fine. But.. that being said I also have trigeminal and pudendal neuralgia. Nothing has worked so far. Did it just got better without medical treatment. I am so sorry but find it hard to believe

It’s not an overnight -fix! You have to connect the dots for yourself and believe that the brain that is overwhelmed can create the label you have. The severity of the pains makes it more difficult to believe, I know . Give yourself the gift of investing in this path. You will be amazed how it will transform you on all levels ( mental, emotional and physical). Wishing you a happy healing ❤️‍🩹

Please help me!My big problem is headtension and sleep problems. I was given a lot of benzos 2 years ago( valium) and ever since the head tension kicked in. I could only sort it out with other medication like Lyrica and antidepressant. It went away the head tension and sleep problem but it’s back since August and I went back on the medication but this time it didn’t go away. I am really suffering because the tension is so strong that I can’t even have my eyes open and my facial muscles drop. I can’t smile because of the tension. I am hopeless. I could go back on a high high dose of medication and maybe it will help for some time but this to me is not life. I suffer from medication induced depression anxiety and head tension and also heart palpitations especially at night. It’s been 6 months and I only had maybe 1 month free of symptoms despite medication. Now that I almost have no medication my condition is worsening and haven’t had a symptom free day since a month which is unusual and it scares me. Is this TMS? Did all the tests there are out there but no doctor found something no so called specialist

A terrified brain will create symptoms. Yes, very likely TMS. Take the assessments here: IsThisTMS.com Then watch the fast start playlist and begin implementing. Your job is to lower the fear and teach the brain you are okay. DansFastStart.com - will help you on this journey.

How long did it take for the dizziness to go? Once you knew it was TMS?
@PainFreeYou
@PainFreeYou 5 ай бұрын
Knowing about TMS is not how we end a symptom. We must teach the brain we are safe and recover from fear. That may occur once we know something is TMS, or it may take considerably longer depending on how you respond to the symptom and your overall mindset.

I had burning mouth for quite some time. It was horrible and I googled everything and everyone many years ago to find a solution. I no longer have it (for 13 years and counting). I’ve had other pain symptoms every now and then, including pretty bad back pain for a couple of years, which I got rid of through reading Dr Sarno’s books. Re burning mouth it came after the back pain and while I’m not sure exactly why it went away (whether it was a gluten-free diet I went on for a while - I’m no longer on it - or the B vitamins I took, especially plenty of B12 or and because of Dr Sarno’s mindbody healing techniques) it did disappear. I’m just posting this to give you hope. Once in a while if I feel a twinge coming back I simply shrug and say to myself forget it! And it goes away. So it’s not a life sentence! Hope this helps.
