I love how, in a seemingly 40s sounding song, with the basic chord progression and softly spoken vocal line, that kind of waltzy down-tempo style grandpa used to play paired with the nostalgic lo-fi like the mic was in a bucket and ya 50s spring reverb, the video recorded on 10mm like ya grandma used to watch and over-saturated like ya mum. All of that old school feel but thanks to livin in the good new year of twenty seventeen you can drop a lyrical "Fucking" in the middle of it and it fortifies the song. Seen this so much with latest wave of female musicians in the alt-folk scene but not so much with the dudes? Boys, start swearing more you lil bitches
