Every single poreless primer I have ever tried has made me more oily, made my pores look more pronounced, and has made my makeup look horrible. Same goes for any mattifying primer I have ever tried. After decades of having severely oily skin and not being able to find anything to keep my oils at bay, I have just decided to look like a greasy sausage patty every day. At least I don’t have wrinkles and no one thinks I’m in my mid 40’s. Lol.

Same. Fought my oily skin for years and finally accepted there is nothing I can do to stop the oiliness. A good foundation with a satin finish in a thin layer, maybe a bit of powder, do keep it under control and do an infinitely better job than any mattifying primer I've ever tried. Do I stay matte all day? No. But does my entire face slide off? Also no. Just a fact of life that my oils will come through eventually anyway and honestly, even when they do, the makeup looks much better than it did when they came through primer, where it got all patchy, "dotty," flake-y or whatever it did. And after all these years, I've come to the conclusion that oily looks better than dry as a prune anyway 🤷‍♀

Have you tried moisturizers. I know it sounds weird but a lot of the time over using products to take away your oils makes you over produce oils in retaliation. Granted this is a pretty common tip at this point so you probably have, but I just wanted to put it out there. Overall you just need a dermatologist and if you're fine with it don't because I know access to one is hard.

​@@an__g_oI work a physical job so while I'm not particularly oily I get sweaty, so I focused more on foundations that wear off more seamlessly than stay all day because that's easier to control. Looking like my makeup is coming off is infinitely worse than my makeup coming off and no one noticing.

Oh my god I totally agree with the plumping glosses!! They’re everywhere. They make your lips sore, red, dry, the “plump” only lasts 5 minutes so what’s the point? They’re uncomfortable and whenever you think you’ve found a pretty colour, nope BAM, it’s plumping

Usually pore filling/smoothing primers end up pilling on me or, as you mentioned, emphasizing my pores/texture and my skin gets slick quicker. Nota huge fan, in lotion or putty formulas. Js.
