Lock Every Door has been on so many of Lexi's recommendation videos and I finally caved and read it... I can't believe I waited so long OMGGG Y'ALL 😱😱😱 words cannot describe how twisted that book is. 10/10 recommend. Dark Matter was really good too, it's more romantic-thriller which was unexpected but 👌🏻 not complaining. Highly recommend the audiobook for Dark Matter as well - his voice is like melted butter.

I would strongly recommend the 7.5 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I'm only about halfway through, but have been confidently recommending it because it is just so good. It's best if you go in without reading the synopsis. Just know that it is a multiple-perspectives, time loop, maybe supernatural?, murder mystery. The writing is super immersive and there are some really great twists in there too.

You should look into The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell, or These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong. They both kind of remind me of the Diviners, and not just because it is set during the 1920s. But because both have a large cast of characters, both have multiple perspectives, they both have either a sci-fi or fantasy element, a mystery plot, and also some darker stuff in them as well. And personally, the writing styles reminded me of each other. So if you love the Diviners, and looking for a book to creep you out in a similar way, maybe reach for one of those. I do feel the need to warn you about These Violent Delights because this one does feature a pandemic, so keep that in mind if you pick this up.

A good thriller recommendation would be Just my luck by Adele Parks. This follows three couples who form a lottery syndicate. They use the same numbers every week but never win anything. Two of the couples then decide to pull out deciding that the syndicate is a waste of time. The following week the remaining couple by a lottery ticket using the same numbers and win around £18, 000 000. The story continues with what the two couples who pulled out of the syndicate will do to get their hands on a share of the winnings. There is also a shocking twist which you really do not see coming.
