From a bassoonist and former saxophone player: You nailed the hardest part of the first movement - the end. Diminuendo-ing to nothing on that final low E is NOT easy on bassoon and from I remember about saxophone, it is even harder on the low C#. I also have to congratulate the pianist - I know how diabolical the piano part is in this piece yet you not only nailed it but clearly found the groove and enjoyed playing it, which shows such a high level of musicianship. Congratulations to you both!

I'm a bassoonist listening to different recordings for reference when i stumbled on this lol. I'm appalled at how good this is. I've never heard a Bari play so flawlessly in the low chromatic sixtheenths. You did this piece as much justice as a bassoonist in my opinion.

Yes, it sounds just as authentic as Allard on Buffet.

Bravo!!! Wonderful performance!!!Last time I've heard this awesome melody was more than 30 years ago, performed by Lynn Klock. It brought me good memories once again. Thanks!!!

Beautiful lyricism, and your technical bravura in that last movement is really impressive! Excellent accompanist, as well (which I appreciate as a pianist myself)!

What kind of mouthpiece do you use? I play Bari and I’m learning this piece at the moment and absolutely love your tone!

Thank you for your kind words. My whole bari setup is quite vintage: 1960s soloist C* with a 1980s mark VII bari. The neck is a custom made solid silver Gloger.

hi you can easily arrange this yourself!

You can read the bassoon part as treble clef in Eb, but I imagine the accidentals would become nauseating.

@@IkSaRbara I've done that for other pieces like bach cello suite, and the accidentals do take some getting used to. But overall it's not that bad.
