We have a similar musical instrument in China, called Xiao, which is made of bamboo and is like a vertical flute. I have one at home but is extremely hard to play. A lot of traditions and cultures have been lost. The cartoon songs, Big Fish is my favorite.

Some studies say: Native American was from Shang Dynasty of China in 3500 years ago. Chinese has similar traditional instrument--Xiao and Shen, both made from bamboo.
