No, he is not. And frankly there are usually only around 10-12 good songs/performances in a year. I prefer he chooses to good ones, even if some are repetitive, than to use awful ones, just for "diversity".

Oh yes, she is famous in Spain, specially after she represented the country. And I think she is also somewhat famous in the UK, or at least she was when she competed in the X Factor

Yeri is probably too young to know about "Festival OTI". It was Inspired in Eurovision, it ran from 1972 to 2000 with participants from the Americas, Spain and Portugal. Songs had to be in Spanish or Portuguese. Mexico and Spain had the most wins with 6 each, followed by Argentina 4, Brazil 3, USA, Puerto Rico, Chile and Venezuela each won twice and Nicaragua won one time. No victories for Panama though... Hoping it comes back...
