ASMR Upgrade Update Ramble (Blue Yeti X)

How's it going everyone, welcome back to another video! In my last video, I talked about getting new lights, and they arrived! Took a while for me to figure out how to make it look nice. It is still not perfect or that great but I am working on it. As I was learning how to set it up, I also got a new mic, the Blue Yeti X! It was a microphone that I wanted to get but I went with the rode instead. Well, watch the video and listen to my little story to see why I ended up getting the upgrade anyway. I hope you guys enjoy!

Dude, I NEED your advice. I got the Blue Yeti X and it sounds amazing when I listen to myself while speaking, with my headphones plugged into the mic. But when I actually record in Audacity or Audition, the audio sucks. Did you experience this too?

Hey! I am not quite sure why you are having that issue and I don’t know what kind of audio quality issue it is you have. But have you checked your recording settings? If your audio sound distorted it might be because the sensitivity is too high, try lowering it. And make sure you are recording audio from your microphone. Sometimes I forget and the microphone is selected to my laptop. Message me on Instagram if you have more question? I can try to help!

@@AlexAuAsmr @AlexAuAsmr Thanks for the reply! I have looked through everything online and in the settings. I can have somewhat decent output now, with plenty of tweaks in post-production, but not as amazing as what I hear through my headphones directly into the mic. I mainly want to know if that's normal and I need to just deal with it, or if you did have this amazing sound quality straight from the mic, without post-production?

VeeJay ASMR I do very little audio edits after recording because the quality is pretty good already as is, mostly to reduce background noises. Hearing the recording live always sounds good but it shouldn’t be very different than the actual recorded audio of that make sense?
