Dude you changed my whole world. No joke! I've had this AMP for about a year and I kept fighting with it and it wouldn't link up. I was so incredibly aggravated. I contacted support, who told me Bluetooth was only for Midi, so I rarely use this amp other than the packaged models. Apparently, I was missing the whole deal with selecting Bluetooth and "clicking out of the box". When you do this you can load the GT Air, but it doesn't control anything. The video was super clear at explaining something that simply wasn't that intuitive for me personally. Definitely subscribing and giving you a like. Many, many thanks for making this video.

Ok, I was successful in downloading amps/presets/effects to my Vox VT 100X from the Toneroom App via my cell phone. The downloads are in the actual amp and you don't have to keep connecting your phone or PC. They are stored in banks A and B in the user presets, but NOT in the user amp dial selector switch. One thing I’d like to ask you is - Is there any way we can use both delay and reverb effects simultaneously, considering both effects are controlled by the same effects knob. Can we change this through the app?

Hi Glad that you like my videos (-: No, sorry. There is no way to do that. But if you activate the wide button on the amp you get like a wide stereo reverb kind a thing. So you could use wide for reverb and dial in a delay on the amp or app. It's not really the same thing but better than nothing.

Hi! Short answer, yes. There aren’t built in backingtracks so you have to connect your phone (or via AUX cable any aufio device) with the adio. Phone works great cause of Bluetooth and I highly recommend using the app to achieve great tones (extra eq, …).

Alex, do you need any additional app or device to connect an iPhone to your Adio Air GT? I can connect both using bluetooth for regular audio but having difficulty in connecting Tone Room.

No additional app needed. Just the ToneRoom app by Vox. 1. delete the connection information for this amp on your phone 2. hold the bluetooth button on your Adio till both leds (for midi and audio) blink 3. release the button and resetting your bluetooth on the Adio is complete 4. now try again Hope this helps

Perhaps I have the same problem. I can see the "Adio Air GT Midi" under BLUETOOTH MIDI DEVICES whe I start the ToneRoomApp on IPad, but when I click on it it doesn´t connect ("not connectetd"). Do you have any idea on this?

Hmmm... Try to reset the Adios bluetooth like I’ve described above. Also try to restart your Ipad. If that doesn’t help then try to reinstall the app. Good luck

Thank you very much Alex for your video!! Could you tell me if the stock presets can be changed? I like the plexi 1959 stock preset but I would like it to have more gain. Also I would like to have every stock preset more bass. Can I mod it directly or only creating new patches with letters? Thank you.

Hi Juanma! If you use the app there is more fine tuning available. You can add bass by increasing the resonance knob and bass knob. There is no way to increase gain via the app (no boost etc) but you could use the bogner ecstasy or mesa boogie mark one emulation to get a hotter plexi sound. Open a preset, change every parameter you like and drag and drop it back to the bottom row. You can’t change the pre selected amps on the dial! Cheers

There are a lot more additional parameters to adjust your sound. I definitely recommend using the app with this product!

You mean to run the ampsims on any Bluetooth speaker? If so then - no sorry. If you want to play music with your adio you just need to connect with it via your phones Bluetooth settings.

Hi Will, I've never owned a vt20 so I can't tell you that. I would search online for a digital manual cause vox normally covers everything in there.

Hallo Gerne 😃 Das ist ein USB Typ B. Du brauchst ein extra Kabel mit einmal Typ A (Standard für Laptop) und einmal Typ B (für den Adio). Ich empfehle dir auch alle Treiber von der VOX Seite herunterzuladen. Sollte dann alles klappen. 👍🏻 LG Alex

Hi, I don‘t know if I get your question right. If you’re asking if it is possible to save a Adio Air GT preset onto a VTX then I don’t think so cause there is a different soundlibrary. If you’re asking if the way I have shown in the video to make, edit and save a preset onto a Adio Air GT will work the same way with a VTX in the ToneRoom VTX menu then by a big chance = yes. BUT I‘ve never owned a VTX nor did I tried it before. As I go through the menu on the App I think it should be possible to write a preset and save it to your VTX amp although the operating surface looks a bit different... I mean this is what the toneroom app was made for. Hope this answer was a help!

Clear your Adio out of your Bluetooth devices list and try connecting again. Also try to reset your Adio (Bluetooth). Hope this helps

Honestly, this app desperately needs updating. Not enough effects, no community integration to share patches, looks like it's ported from a desktop app rather than being iOS/Android native. I'll give it this: at least *has* a phone app that even their budget amps can connect to unlike other company's budge ranges. I suggest Vox partner with a software company like Laney does with Tonebridge so it keeps its' software evolving. I kinda went off topic but good explanation.

They could easily make an expansion pack with amps and effects.... probably the adio air was more kind of a test drive and we get more options on a mark II. I definitely share your opinion with the lack of community features. But I still use it sometimes especially for fine tweaking on reverb and modulation effects. Thank you for your comment!

I always see in ads for VOX amps that use ToneRoom (I have a VT40X) that you can share presets with the community... where? If anything, VOX should have a spot on their site for it. Would be handy and promote the feature much better.

I also think that shareable presets are just interesting if there is a more complex interface. Like if there would be virtual cab mic’ing which is kinda easy to fuck up but “hard” to make it sound good/real.

Try 1. delete your adio from your phone (settings/Bluetooth) 2. hold the Bluetooth button on your adio at least 3 seconds till the leds from Bluetooth speaker and midi blink 3. release the button and wait till the leds stop to blink (now your phone is deleted from the adios Bluetooth information storage) 4. try again to connect Hope this helps

Hmmm... I do not own a vt40x but I guess that you could do the following: -initialize bluetooth pairing via your amp (hold down bluetooth button) -try restarting your phone -make sure that nothing else is connected via bluetooth with your phone -read the manuel of your amp Cheers

@@tylervitale4048 Just googled your amp and saw that you need an adapter. There is no bluetooth sry. The manual says: -The VT20X/VT40X can also be connected to an iOS device (iPad or iPhone) by using the Apple USB camera adapter. hope this helps.

Hi -if it is already registered in your phones Bluetooth list of connected devices delete it and try again -try to reset your adios Bluetooth list (hold Bluetooth button for at least 3sec) and try again

When i open the app and hit the bluetooth icon my "adio air gt midi" shows up and i click connect and its loads for 2 seconds and goes back to saying "not connected". My bluetooth works perfectly fine as i am able to connect normally with it and play music through my amp via bluetooth but it just seems to be the app that wont connect so i cant mess around with my presets. Ive had this amp for 2 years now and have been stuck with the same presets and never been able to change them :(

I need to check this. You can save all your presets (=saved combination of stock amp and effects settings and combinations) into one file. So probably you can share this file. If you mean implement other amp- and effectsims then I don’t think so. It would be cool if vox would release a expansion pack. Here is my answer (what i found out): +If you go into your ToneRoom app and then into the main menu on the upper right corner. There you find the possibility to "save file as" or "SAVE USER PROGRAMS as". First means that you're getting a file which contains all your presets you've made in the app (the stored ones on the left). Second means that you're getting a file which contains all your presets you have stored on the amp. ==> You can share this files with a freind via your computer. ==>As I see the current possibilities there is no function to expand your amp or effects library. Hi! 1. Connect your adio via usb cable with your computer 2. Go to system settings > devices > Bluetooth and other devices Now your adio should be recognized at the point AUDIO VOX 2ch Adio Device and Other devices ADIO Air GT MIDI If your pc doesn’t find it than try to add it via > Add Bluetooth or other device (at the very top of the same window). If you use Android: “Location” setting (Open the “Setting” -> “Personal”) needs to be ON in order to scan your Bluetooth low energy devices. Try that as well (from manual)

Hi If you mean with lists your presets then you're just connected with the midi port via Bluetooth. For music playback you have to go into your phones settings and connect with the audio port ( vox audio or something like that). ---- For no connection at all try resetting your adios Bluetooth and/or restart your phone. There are a lot of step by step tutorials for fixing this in the comments of my vox adio air gt videos for more details. Best wishes
