TsimRosengren that’s the way a watch is actually supposed to be worn in my book! That behind the wrist bone thing looks so stupid to me! But hey, to each their own!
@septembersticks69914 жыл бұрын
I see what you mean. I think it's because he was wearing long sleeve tops with it, because he wore it right when he wasn't wearing long sleeves. The sleeve pushes the watch forward and makes it hard to keep it at the wristbone, unless you can bring the sleeve over it, but then you won't really see the watch. I also find it hard to keep it on the correct position when wearing jackets or long sleeves. My philosophy is: allow it only with long sleeves. Other than that, it goes before the wristbone.

That highlights the reason I wear my watches all the way down on my wrist…otherwise you can even see it when wearing a long sleeve shirt.
@WayneMan888 ай бұрын
There's a reason why every single watch brand model their watches right down the wrist towards the hand. It's not a mistake, it's because it's both more practical and looks the best. Having it further up looks ridiculous for a guy.
@buckcampbell429211 ай бұрын
I disagree on watch “placement”. I like my watches down on top of the wrist bone. I also like the band to be loose enough that it can slide around a little bit.
@v.t.319410 ай бұрын
Same for me. Also, good quality bracelets don't catch hair for this very reason.
@heredotrecayi5 жыл бұрын
5:31 loose watch is better then a tight strap , dont forget that any kind of tight strap damages the vain and blood circulation and causes varicosele. coz tight is tight . On the other hand loose watch looks cooler , why would you wear a tight accesorry , do you wear a fashion bracelet that tight ever ?

Having the watch band/bracelet, sized correctly, . Ask a jeweler to size it for you, always keep removed links in your box with paperwork and receipts
@rodpanhard5 жыл бұрын
You will usually find there is a difference in your wrist size between left and right of around 1/4", some watches will fit and look better on one wrist over the other so try both when sizing the watch. In my collection I have watches that sit better on my left wrist and others that sit better on my right so they are put on whatever wrist gives them the best and most comfortable fit.

Watch position depends also on the watch case & strap selection. If the case has smooth edges (e.g. cushion case) in combo with 4 or 2 o'clock crown and elastic strap (there are even "elastic" bracelets like jubilee out there) - it is gonna be OK in any position. Also to mention, watch manufacturers usually officially recommend to wear watches a little bit loose, because it is simply unhealthy to squeeze the wrist too much.
@derekwallace1955 Жыл бұрын
So I'm just trying to figure out where on the wrist the watch is suppose to rest. He said above the 'wrist knuckle', but in a lot of the shots he's wearing it on the knuckle or below? He's not even following his own advice?

Like most people, I actively use my right hand, but wearing a watch on my left wrist feels uncomfortable, like wearing a handcuff. I am very comfortable and happy with my watch on my right wrist, and I don't take extra care to protect my watch, I just take it off and put it in my pocket when I'm going to use a hammer, carry something heavy like a box, or do something that could get damaged. :)

I'm left-handed and watches are made for right-handed people with the knobs being on the right side of the watch for them to access the buttons with their right hand. So, they can easily wear the watch on their left hand or non-dominant hand. For me, however, to have a right-handed watch, made for right-handed people on my right hand (non-dominant); defeats the purpose of the buttons that are also facing to the right. So, I wear my watches on my dominant hand (the left). Nice video and I just subscribed.
@jeremysnead92333 жыл бұрын
You wear a wpaltch on the left so you can set it with your right. There are left handed watches. Wear you watch so you can adjust it with out discomfort. When you bend your eldow in a proper dress shirt the watch face should be visible. Watches were warn palm side of the wrist be of trade requirements ( note taking).

Regarding smartwatches ... a thin, narrow and tiny heartbeat monitor like a fitbit tracker is better because it looks less strange if you decide to wear it on one wrist and a mechanical on the other. I don't need any messaging capability. Apple ... make a simple thin and narrow one pls.

i think you should rephrase the not above the wrist bone to loose enough slide back and forth... thats the tip for sizing because when your hands are down they will fall over your wrist but when you look at it you want it slide back above the bone... and true watch purest dont have smart watches ;P
