Thanks so much for uploading this, I had only heard about Keenan sort of punishing Kovalev by not letting him off. It's insane the commentators didn't seem to notice that Kovalev was still on the ice, even when it was a friggin' penalty kill. Part of me thinks Messier took that penalty in hopes of getting Kovalev off the ice.

It was because Alex was overstaying his shifts. I don’t agree with much of what Keenan did, but here his attempt at discipline wasn’t unwarranted.
