I still think Victor Petrenko’s triple axle at the ‘88 Olympics was and is the biggest ‘highest Ive ever seen….but Kurt Browning’s are huge too…

I love ❤ Aleksey, he was the most amazing skater of his generation. Too bad his career was cut short - he was suffering from congenital hip joint issues and he had to undergo double hip replacement surgery. It's a miracle he managed to skate at all, yet he reached such a level of excellence.

legendary! a truly special skater! I get the impression yuzuru hanyu was inspired by his step sequences/ footwork (I think he also said that Yagudin was his hero)

Nooooo. I dont like this footwork. Now we have high quality step sequence. Deep edges and very difficult steps. Yagudin did only toe steps, very easy for skater. And he made a milion of hole on the ice. Maybe another skaters had problem with edge jump like salchow or loop, bc this jumps need clean ice without hole. Especially quad salchow and quad loop.

A whole lot of smoke breaks in this program with throwing up that ice again and again. And the opening pantomime. I guess he was the inspiration for the Dani G school of picking up ringing telephones and muffled/covered ears. Apart from the jumps, the program is pretty vacuous.
