Seems great, and thanks for taking the time to explain the device. Also your production values are so good. IMHO, this reminds me a bit like the Rabbit R1 AI device - I could easily see this capability being copied or added/updated to either by Android or iPhone devices with existing/updated AI by implementing the recording via say an earbud or small accessory clip-on mic (perhaps a lot smaller than this device). That recording would go to your smartphone, and look less intrusive or obvious. This looks like you are obviously recording those nearby, and while some may not mind, many are feeling the 'big brother' effect of all this tech. The main players won't miss out on any trick either and they have the tech. and money to implement it. My concern is that I'll have yet another device that adds to all the other early-bird devices I bought but ends up being in my drawer gathering dust once replaced by something else downstream. Sometimes it pays to wait and see! Despite my concerns I really enjoyed the video. 👍

Thanks for the kind words!! I do think this is a bit simpler than the R1 (or that other Pin) but I agree, this could be something that smartphones incorporate. The only problem is you'd have to at the very least have the phone on you. The beauty of this is that it isn't in the way, and can be something you 'set and forget'. For my use case, that convenience alone beats any smartphone app. Like you said, let's see how it evolves. Have a great weekend!

Hi! Thanks for the helpful video. I noticed you used an external mic while having a meeting on your computer with the NotePin. (3:39) Could you let me know which microphone you’re using? I find that my headphone mic has the least delay-does the mic you’re using have any delay? I also saw the recommended mic links, but they’re a bit high-end for my needs. I’m just looking for something affordable for meetings, not for KZbin or sound recording. Any suggestions?

But if you just want a microphone I’d recommend the USB mic, MV7from Shure or Rode Podmic. I use the MV7 for streaming and podcasts but have used it in meetings too, really good: geni.us/i8lBS Hope this helps 👊🏼

Thanks a lot for sharing this. I personally enjoyed the presentation and found it very useful. My question is, how can I record an online discussion specifically, if I have a meeting with a lot of people around me, I usually use a headset. In this case, I need to use the headset, so how can I record without causing noise or making it obvious? Please advise.

my absolute pleasure! In this scenario, you'd have to have the call audio on speakers, somehow. Some headsets may allow you to do that. Another option is to playback the meeting, but that would mean recording it via Teams or Zoom/Slack in the first place, which I appreciate is a pain.

The transcription feels slightly more organised with this, and it gives you the different formats in one go. Galaxy AI gives you a few options and does a great job, but you'd have to run the summary multiple times. And of course the convenience aspect of not needing to open the phone is quite nice, in some situations
