This is actually probably the extent to which you’ll see repetition, since it’s 4 rounds and they both similarly love playing with rhythm and have amazing technicality. If you want more of a “performance” style solo beatboxer definitely check out D-Low, lots of variety but also complicated patterns.

im sure somebody has mentioned it, but Alem used to be and im sure is still an actual drummer. im sure you would agree, you tend to lean towards the sounds and patterns u have memorized. Also this was not really a battle, no winner no looser, so they mostly free styling and free styling although fun is a bit more dry then a prepared set. Alem is a legend and almost never competes anymore, plays more a judge role and other ventures in beatboxing.

Interesting you mentioned circular breathing, as Alem does that in this video for a very short beat At the part in round 2 before he says “no it’s not napom.” He uses his lips to form the bass (unaspirated), throat to form the kick and snare, and breathes through his nose. You can hear the air behind his sounds if you listen closely. Also, I agree with your assessment of these two percussionists. They are undoubtedly legendary, but the lack of melodic ideas does get to me. Big ups!

Some facts: Both are World champions. They're a tagteam (uniteam). They won the last GBB together. Basically, these two have done everything you can do in beatbox, both are absolute legends. And they both did each others routine in the first rounds.

@EllisLamarMusic these two are just tooling around, showing off some of their techniques and basically daring each other to hit a higher level of difficulty. They are both world champions, in a real competition they bring real routines with tight composition and carefully curated moments of DOPE. this is just a showcase so they are messing with each other, doing pieces of each other routines etc. Their duo performances are pretty nuts, I highly suggest you check out Uniteam.

Yeah there are beatbox technique that require you to do it inhale,the one you spoke is called sucker punch.There are several more techniques like the inward k snare,peh snare etc.
