Je suis bluffé par le "retour" au premier plan d'Alexis ces dernières semaines (il faut reconnaitre que pendant quelques mois, juste après sa victoire contre FZH en 2023, Alexis a été décevant). Face à Moregardh, il a joué un ping énorme, sans doute le meilleur match qu'il ait jamais livré contre un joueur de cette trempe. Impressionnant dans le rythme, le mental et le niveau de jeu pratiqué. Le Suédois été littéralement étouffé.

I know Alexis is typically aggressive but this was something else. Smack everything by. He has good 'body balance', doesn't waste too much movement which supports those topspin drives. If he manages to adopt consistency as well will be a true threat.

Some people don't seem to know or have forgotten that Alexis was injured just over a year ago. Some doctors even predicted that he would never be able to return to his physical peak and therefore to the world top of his sport. It was this injury that handicapped him and made him fall back in the world hierarchy. Alexis, like his brother Félix, is modest and therefore he never speaks as an excuse of this injury that has handicapped him for over a year. But he has proven these doctors wrong, because with courage and work, he has been regaining his physical peak for a few weeks now and so he is gradually returning to great shape and to his normal level, that is to say (at least) in the world TOP10. And for me it's not over because if Alexis regains his full physical shape, he regains the mental strength of a winner and he will be very difficult to beat even for the world TOP5! To beat an Alexis Lebrun at his best, a world TOP5 player will have to be at his best himself...

Speed is the worst ennemy of Truls, he is underperforming in high paced rallies (I think the main reason is his slow footwork ?). I still like his game the most out of all Euro players.

Every aspect of his playing style varies alot. All from the footwork to his attacks. Truls is a player that is dependant on his own attacks and when you have a player like Alexis whos very aggressive and likes to attack first, it becomes difficult for Truls. I would actually say that truls footwork is some of the best, based on other matches.

Truls is just not good enough to compete against top, top level players. He's too slow, and his topspins and punches are too weak. He sometimes gets a bit lucky/has good form but even then it's not enough for the absolute best (and for wang chuqin, he was beaten by 4 players including möregardh outside of the top 20, one was even outside of top 200).
