If you’re thinking of changing your videos because you want change, I say go for it, but if you’re worried we’re getting bored I wouldn’t worry about that at all! I love consistency. It’s kind of like the comfort shows you mentioned; when you drop a new one I think oh yay, I get to visit with Alexis as she goes about her normal routines. It’s just so cozy and relaxing!

Video ideas: (in other words, content i personally would love to see…lol) 1. Week In The Life starting Bennett. (1x per month?) 2. Tips for living on your own as a young adult. Especially healthy quick easy affordable meals that can be cooked in a tiny kitchen. (1x per month?) 3. NYC Bucket List/ToDo List: Vlog going to different places in the city, like restaurants, show venues, bars, natural sites, touristy stuff, museums, etc. You can show highlights, give tips, and maybe even rate the places based on food, price, atmosphere, difficulty in getting there, etc. Love your channel, and i just want to say that you have a great spirit and energy. I have kids similar in age to you, so i can say that i can imagine your family is very proud of you. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing!! Take breaks as you need to, but don’t get stuck there. ❤

Great vlog! Thank you. It's helpful to hear what you go through since you have monetized and made KZbin your FT job. Even small stuff like forgetting your mic and using the mic on your phone, etc. It's interesting to me how making videos requires constant learning and adapting verses other jobs which are more routine. I really enjoy your videos and I’m happy with all of the content because it is something that I can experience through you because it’s so far removed from my own life. I also wanted to mention that I am excited at the fact that you are going to experiment with more cinematic themes because I really enjoyed the video that you did when you first moved into this apartment. The video was sort of a reflection of your time in that apartment and it was so well done in my opinion in every way. I found your channel when you moved into that apartment so seeing that recap but also seeing you so happy at moving and starting this new chapter, I just remember being so impressed with that video. I know it brought me to tears and I couldn’t help but think that while you are a performer and are very comfortable in front of the camera you also have, I think, a talent for being behind the camera as well. I agree with what others have said in the sense that your channel is about you and we enjoy the content for that reason regardless of what it is about. I feel like I’m just visiting with my friend in New York and seeing what she’s up to… Looking forward to the future and more great content to come!❤

In talking about work/life balance, you mentioned that you don't want hanging out with your friends to feel like work, or make them feel like they have to be on camera all the time. I can only tell you what I might do....I'd probably, now and then, take ten or fifteen minutes during a get-together with friends who I already knew didn't mind being on camera (emphasis in fact on friends who ENJOY being on camera lol). We'd then have fun shooting scenes and dialogue with each other. We could even pre-script a bit together, to make the filmed portion feel interesting, fun, and relevant--kinda like what you said, about living your life as if you were in a rom-com, but deliberately and creatively so. Then once that was done, I'd put the camera away and just have fun with my friends. (Unless you really want food pics or something, LOL).

Three things: 1. When I have a bad sinus headache that won't go away I take Sudafed, Flonase AND Advil, all within the same hour. It helps. 2. I don't mean this cruelly, but why do you call yourself an actor if you don't get paid to act? It seems like you only audition for plays, not tv/movies, so you aren't trying to get acting jobs but more performing jobs, no? 3. I would love if you did a video about what you want in your next boyfriend. You could even break it down into physical, professional, emotional range, morals/ethics, etc.
@alexiseldredge4 ай бұрын
totally valid! i use acting as an all encompassing term for singer, dancer, etc. because it's more digestible to say in passing instead of explaining what i do everytime, but maybe i will use the term musical theatre performer more! either way my college degree was made up of mostly acting classes lol

“Intentional videos” I don’t watch. Essays, how-tos, recepis, let’s-learn-abouts, thrift shopping in new york, bar crawling in new york-everyone can write a script and follow it. To me that’s BORING. I like vlogs. Real life. Your videos. A human’s life unfolding with all the routine and realness and struggle and highs and lows that that entails. I mean, sometimes life has themes and phases, a boyfriend phase, a diet phase, a health phase, a crochet phase, a travel phase-that’s great. But to take a trip because you think it will help your channel, that’s staged. There’s a stagnancy there. Or just to spend a whole video narrating with voice-over talking over B-roll, BORING. Only take a trip IF YOU’RE DYING TO TAKE A TRIP. Then it’s real. Literally, all I’m saying, and maybe it’s just me thinking this, but I love your vlogs. Your personality. Your human struggles. The stuff you actually do when you do it. Seeing the clips of your freaking awesome singing and dancing and auditions-I love when you include those. Maybe sometimes the struggle of trying to figure out what to do can lead to knowing you’ve been on the right track all along. Also your getting new tech equipment might be fun for you-tech can always enhance what you’re already doing. Maybe the answer is just digging into being more and more you🧡

I think this is why people who like vlogs watch them, they are spontaneous.
