Really weird movie, but I like it! Nothing like the rote formulas of American stuff nowdays but an eerie atmospheric film. Picked up a copy for 9 bucks at Videoscreams.

"Aliens take over human bodies" is a theme that goes all the way back to Invasion of the Body Snatchers. However The Mediator, with its elegiac feeling and somber performances, is quite profound in its pessimism. Is it like Stalker? No. And it does not attempt to be. It asks that we accept it on its own terms.
