Hi Alex. I paid and got your PDFs on making this electrolyzer and am very impressed with the document. I haven't found anything this thorough on HHO generation. I am trying to get the materials, but am curious where you got the stainless steel from? You mention getting it from a laser cutting company, but from what I've seen from my research the stainless seem really high. At least for 5mm thick. Was your metal materials expensive from your supplier?
@PandorasBox22 жыл бұрын
ive seen many HHO between 2010~2015 then all of them stopped i have genuine questions if its work why they disappeared! if its work why no one in corp section try to make it industrialized? what size and spec HHO dry/wet cell needed for Power generators since they usually goes by psi or cc not LPM? & for how long can sustain power with that cell underload w.o break or stop... wish someone could answer these questions after all 2/3 of this planet is water!

You are amazing. I found your channel from The Hacksmith. You are the Ivan Vanko to his Tony Stark, but you are both BETTER than those fictional characters because you are real people that myself and my children can look up to like real-life heroes. I almost stood up and clapped when you got the bike to work. Please keep creating. I can't wait to see what you do next! I also have a question/suggestion. Have you tried polishing the epoxy? I know, from my own work with Resin, that when you polish it, you can actually make it more transparent. I think if you used a clear resin and polished it, you would still be able to see what is going on inside (which would make it look even cooler) without losing that strength.

When tightening bolts, try using a star pattern tightening order and use a torque wrench rather than displacement. The static stress is what holds the static seal and the pattern will decrease the number of laps you need to perform to get evenly tight
@noeaguinaga4018 Жыл бұрын
Should you allow for expansion of metal when heated? 5%?10%? As far as torque specks?
@DanielLopez-bh3cu Жыл бұрын
You can. To find the unconstrained expansion, multiply thermal expansion coefficient by temp-change and thickness for each material in the stack. Do the same for the fasteners if the temperature can be assumed uniform (quasi equilibrium). The difference in expansion will give you an idea of how significant it is. If you get into the details, solve for the sum of forces equal to zero during worst-case condition. Then solve for the stress in each material to ensure nothing will yield. It's a good idea to have a large factor of safety when prototyping (or predictable failure mode like a pressure release valve). The final design should look at expected fatigue cycles. This will get you to the final fastener preload specification. The Machinery's Handbook is a great reference for this 🤓

If you used a plastic spacer between the end plates, you could calculate its length so that you have control nib of the ceiling.. This means you could tighten your bolts And your design will be more robust. I like it. Good design. Thank you

Hi Alex, consider using plastic spacing tubes on the bolt to set the pretension. You could really tigythe bolts and get high bolt tension with controlled seal nip.

Hi very interesting video, you could use clear pipe to cover the bolts, but the epoxy ! I am curious, with the temperature of the reaktor, and the temperature of the summer and especially the winters... + To -40c and then expansion and contraction in to this conundrum.. will the epoxy not be too rigid a material for this purpose ?. Perhaps expanding foam in a can. Would have give and take required for such conditions.. just a thought.. excellent video. I enjoy your craftsmanship.. Thanks.. Thom in Scotland.

If you use something in the area as a size reference you can guesstimate the circumference. It doesn't have to be exact. Hell start at 8 inchs , go out by quarter inch till you get to 10 inchs. If that ain't it, go from 8 to 6 until you find it. These people think I'm gonna pay for their bs. If your watching these type videos then you obviously are mechanically inclined and can somewhat get the jest. If they make a chair. Go online to a department store website and search their chairs for dimensions and you will get an idea what they are doing. Everything came from a base model. There are base sizes for everything brother. Build on my man. Other then a view I'm not contributing to their gravy train. People are losing the will to get real meaningful careers when you can get some loser to part you 8 to 10 bucks a month times 100,000 , do the fucking math... get real

By placing the plates exactly 1/8 of an inch apart and creating a circular current flow inside the water around the plates you can cool down the cell and push the hydrogen out faster I don't know about a motorcycle but on a V8 it worked well.
@chrisbaker9704 Жыл бұрын
What variables need to be taken into account when adapting it for a larger engine. Love tge project and I wanna put it on a straight 4 v6 or v8 but all I'm finding is info for this model of pit bike. After all, I don't think a gas generation rate perfect for a small 4 stroke engine would be even close to what you'd need for an engine like a v8

I have a question about the solution. Can it be 15% of either substance or does it have to be a combination of the 2 substances? So it would be 1 liter of water then take 15% of potassium hydroxide then take the same 1 liter and 15% sodium hydroxide then combine the weight of those 2 substances and put it in the liter of water.

Next will be an interesting topic close to your research: HHO Aaron Salter: You can find threads by searching for his name "...You have found a way... to utilize that sludge... Yes,... that's the holy grail of electrolysis." I studied Aaron Salter's patent US9863309B2 The process looks like this: Aaron used local ordinary tap water. He used dry cells similar to yours in his SUV. But they were contaminated with sludge due to the fact that ordinary undistilled water was used. To fix this, he had to periodically blow compressed air through the cell to remove the sludge from it. At the same time, some of the water was blown out. So that water would not be wasted, he installed an ordinary BB10 or BB20 household porous fine filter at the outlet of the electrolyzer. In his videos, Aaron reports that once he turned off the electrolyser, but the car still traveled quite a considerable distance only on gases from such a sludge filter. The pressure he used in the patent is 4 atmospheres, the video seems to say that there is a noticeable effect at 7 atmospheres of pressure in the electrolytic cell. Of course, the author does not fully disclose the design. What can happen in this sludge? Similar: colloidal solution, nanostructures, quantum processes.. The composition of the Sludge will of course depend on the composition of the impurities in the local water. But what usually happens in tap water? Lime, chalk, silicates, iron. But these ordinary substances can self-organize into microstructures.

If you aint hitting 8k psi its not wroth it over a battery, to exceed the volumetric energy density of most lithium-ion batteries (including typical 3.7V lithium-ion and LFP batteries), hydrogen storage pressure generally needs to be around 8,000 psi or higher.
