+Nizar Masbukhin hi there , l m looking to buy savvy for me and my thai gf , l fond savvy 2011 with 50000 km for ,3000 euros , do you think its a good deal , car in thailand have hug price compare to europe , for old 2007 toyota yaris with 120000 km its cost 6500 euros more credit almost 2000 euros , total 8500 euros , but savvy l can pay 1 time not much risk to lose if my gf go away LOL

One of the most underrated Protons, especially with the normal manual transmission. It was just bad luck that the Myvi came out around the same time, and even though the Myvi was a B-segment car and the Savvy was A-seg., just like with the Axia and Iriz today, uneducated Malaysians kept on comparing the two when they were aimed at different market segments. The Savvy was safer than the Viva which came after it too. A good buy second-hand, especially the facelift model, but avoid the AMT versions if possible, it's known to be problematic.

Juara is the best Proton in my opinion, it is rear wheel drive.

I LOVE Kancil +hourgmorn Errr, IMHO, the Juara looks damn weird but it was actually quite a decent car for the money. It was the first Proton to get Electric Power Steering (in 2001, 13 years before the Iriz !) and as hourgmorn mentioned, it is rear-wheel driven too. If you asked me, the worst Proton is definitely the Tiara by a longshot. Some other dishonourable mentions are the Saga Iswara SE, Saga LMST and maybe the Arena; all are too old and unsafe.

but tiara is powerful and it looks not bad , the juara cant change the gearbox because it is fused with the chasis , rwd on a wrong car -.-

the automatic gearbox on the juara , really unreliable , age doesnt matter as long as you take care of the vehicle , proton carsare quite decent . Aero7SVR

savvy has better ride n handilng also has stable top speed 170km/without modified........but of course savvy using renault engine(D4f) from france....only problem is spare part is expensive and hard 2 maintain....only savvy owner and pro mechanic know how 2 specialst it.......

hourgmorn Actually, the last Proton was sold in the U.K. in 2013. Since then, no new Protons have been on sale in the U.K.. The last Savvy was sold in Thailand in 2014 if I'm not mistaken.

I saw this car selling cheap locally and decided to buy it and i watched this video first, just to give me an idea, Now i like the video, it's very informative.... but i got 5 mintues in and still no driving, Skip forward to 10 mins, still no driving. Sp studio is I prefer manual, but proton doesn’t sell the Savvy anymore, so u might have to use second hand

The problem with all proton cars is that they have such a loud noise as if there r cockroaches stuck inside the engine 🤣 i bought savy. It was having this sound (@4:28) then bought gen 2 it was even worse and then tried persona and almost the same.
