I enjoy the musical episodes just because the singing distracts from the plot which is as nonsensical as the rest of the show. Hiding? Hunting Archie, Veronica, Betty, and Jughead around part of the Blossom estate? Which has another house even though Penelope lived in the barn for a while after Cheryl threw her out? Toni puts up the Jason corpse thing for way longer than any normal person would have, which is about 1 minute after you stop screaming in horror at the body of your lover’s twin just chilling in the “family chapel” For some reason Cheryl who is not of age has custody of Jason’s twins, and no one seems to be too worried about leaving them with Nana Rose all day except Toni, who understands that an elderly woman who can’t take herself to the bathroom and is confined to a wheel chair, has little hearing left, and is honestly crisscrossing the line between normal and batshit crazy herself, yeah she might need some help while Cheryl and Toni are at school, both to take care of herself and to take care of twins. What is she going to do once they start crawling and then walking? One toddler is hard enough to watch let alone two toddlers. But it’s been a quiet season for the Blossoms.

Season 01 as much as I wanna say is the only good season. I dropped the show after a few eps of season 02. I couldn’t handle the shenanigans the show kept pumping out. None of the rules of season 01 stayed the same in season 02. There’s no plot to follow, no real sense of character development. Archie up until where I stopped, still hasn’t had any kind of consequence to his actions that male him grow as a character.
