Angelina's 10th year was a transition year. She's no longer a "child" star. She a full fledged professional entertainer. It isn't just that her voice is more mature, her stage presence, vocal control and technique are beyond belief. As good as she was at 8 and 9, no one could foresee what she would do at 10. One performance after another were simply incredible. This is one of her greats. And, it's her arrangement. But, there are a whole list of "10 year old" performances that can't be missed. "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye", "Feeling Good", "Summertime/KORK", "Back to Black", "Faded", etc... The ones I just listed are all professionally produced, live performances. It's a quandary for reactors who want to take one or two songs from each year. The years aren't all equal. Angelina's 10th year was simply spectacular. Then, of course, she keeps getting better. But, the change, the professionalism, the maturity that simply jumped out in her 10th year is not to be believed. "I'm Still Holding Out For You" may be her greatest ever performance. But, it's only part of the story of what she accomplished in 2016.👣💕

Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of another incredible performance by Angelina. You are quickly becoming one of my favorite Angelina reactors as you have already discovered that it doesn't matter what song Angelina sings - she is able to breathe new life into any song & emote the essence directly to our hearts & souls to allow us to also deeply FEEL her music as it flows through her. (This particular song was pretty much unknown until Angelina was asked to do a demo - at age 10. I believe it was never officially released by Angelina because of the reference to suicide.) For those Not aware, this is considered an Angelina Jordan Original, at 10! Experts agree! “An original, is any song which was not recorded by any artist before. It may be composed by the person singing it, or by someone else." Baby FuzZ and 3 others wrote this song at a Music Camp. He actually performed the “Cover” that Angelina had already recorded in 2016, at 10. Demo or not, it was published, uploaded, on Nov. 11, 2018. Reportedly, his offical video, published Dec 9, 2018, (two years later) was met with very little fanfare. (After 380 various videos, this remains in my top 10!)😇🌺

When I listen to Angelina I always have the feeling that she is opening her mouth and that something/someone is playing with her vocal cords. It always comes so easy. I don't think it's effortless: their must have been a lot of practice behind the scenes to get it exactly right. And what about the video itself? I think it is so tastefully done. Angelina's grandmother, Mery Zamani, is the producer or co-producer from most video's till this day and it is no secret she and Angelina do have a very strong bond together. Also a big shout out to her as well.

Yes, Angelina will do this time and time again. If there every was a perfect singer you just experienced it in very humble ten year old from Norway. Angelina does not impossible when it comes to singing whether it be a , Billy Holiday, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Patsy Kline, Web Peirce, Elvis, Frank Sinatra or Nancy Sinatra , Amy Winehouse, Whitney Huston, Lana Del Ray, Cole Porter , Queen, The Beatles , Miley Cyrus song, any ore past or present, or just name one of you favorites she can and probably has already done them and to perfection .Angelina has done in ten years , from a 7 year old to a 17 year old what most signers have strived to do for a life time and have not accomplished . Yeep 10 years of age... a week or so before her 11th birthday. There is a longer story here, but she was basically asked to demo the song, she did it. We don't know why anything never came of it, but someone who had access to it, put it up on the internet. A fan downloaded it before it was taken down, and eventually this Fan Made Video was made. The time between recording and the video is around 1.5 to 2 years. This is explains why you can see her at 12 years of age in some of the video.

Great reaction , great song! At 10 Angelina was magical, so many that are that are my favorites. This was not a cover it was a demo. Baby Fuzz along with some other people wrote this song. Baby Fuzz said he sent it to several singers that he had wrote for before but there was no interest. Some one (unsure who) made this demo with Angelina, her mom did not want her to do it. Baby Fuzz said he never heard it, and then he released it himself. I think it was leaked before he released his, but not sure about that. There was much controversy over this song. One thing I know for sure everyone loves this song sung by Angelina.

Alex, this song was written by Bryan Lowry, aka, Babyfuzz, a Norwegian songwriter and performer. He asked Angelina to cut a demo before recording it as his original release. However, the dimo was leaked online by an unknown source? Bryan's version is different than Angelina's same lyrics and a faster tempo.

She applies her vocals in a way that we had never heard her do before. She sounds like an older, seasoned jazz singer and many consider it to be a song that would have 'rocketed' up the charts. You may not want to blame, in addition to her young age at the time, the fact that there is a reference to holding her head under water in order to prove her love for the person she's singing about, and that may have been a reason her strict mother didn't want her associated with that drowning theme at the age of 10, which is how old she was here, but you have to realize that her mom wouldn't allow her to sing the lyrics in 'Back To Black', a dark theme song by Amy Winehouse, where Angelina changed the lyrics to a more uplifting theme, that being 'Back In Love', so the question many have been, was this 'holding her head under water' line have anything to do with her not being allowed to release the song? Age or lyrics, which are seemingly the only possibilities as to why her mom wouldn't allow it to be officially released, has never been addressed by her mom and perhaps one day it will be. Until then it remains a guessing game as to why this truly exceptional recording never really saw the official light of day.

Even the great artists have some stand out songs. This is one of Angelinas. Obviously the benefit of studio conditions cannot be compared with casual recordings on phones or basic home systems. The quality of her voice is always great but being able to hear every little nuance clearly. .....I can never hear this often enough.

I agree 10 was AJ’s year of magical maturation to a virtuoso vocalist. Her album “It’s Magic” from that time is so fittingly titled. 10 was a great year for Angelina....so many fantastic songs, and in different genres. Ivan said that the two of them were able to produce the number of cover songs they did together in a short time because Angelina (then 12) understood a song and how she would interpret it very quickly, by listening to it. They didn't even practice their cover songs before videoing them.

Another wonderful reaction. While listening to the song this time, I felt like I was on a vocal and emotional roller coaster. The coaster went low and then high, a number of times, then reached that final, tallest hill, and came speeding down, splashing into water, only to be bathed and cleansed. A peaceful calm ended the journey.

I first heard this about 6 years ago, and have had numerous occasions to re-listen, especially in reactions like this. As you hear more and new songs from her, you almost always think each one is now the best she has ever done ... rinse, repeat. But, every time this one comes up, it jumps right to the front of the line. In the words of a song she hasn't yet performed for us, it is "simply the best".

This song written by Baby Fuzz, was not to be released as a request of Angelina and her family because it ends with a suicide. Angelina, still living in Norway, had an entertainer friend named Avicii, a well known talent. He committed suicide in 2014. He was 28. He could not handle the pressures of a modern recording career. That is why Angelina's family has asked that she not be promoted until she is out of high school and mature enough to handle and understand that loss and how it can influence her future career. Republic Records has honored that as she has been signed for over 2 1/2 years now. This song was a demo that Baby Fuzz wanted Angelina to sing. It is fantastic and someone leaked it. I think the family is ok with it now as it is soo good. Just a little background. Most do not even note the suicide in this and even fewer know the effect of suicide on Angelina and family's handling of her career.

You are correct, Angelina is living proof of God given talent. God wanted to have someone on earth to sound like the Angels in Heaven so he gave us Angelina. This is the number one hit,IMO, that never was due to personal decisions by her and her family. Her very young age does not mean that she did not have to work hard to be able to do this. This is her passion. She practised and studied and is not just a talented singer but a musical prodigy. Sure, you need to have the raw potential to start with, but to get this good, it's hard work. She started a lot earlier and much more seriously early on than most of the great singers.

For years, there were half-joking comments of AJ being reincarnations. To me, this is more of her ability to 'channel' because she doesn't just absorb - she INHABITS songs. And vice versa. This is a great example of her abilities - as have every video Alex has done thus far. Is anyone looking forward to him seeing IT'S A MAN'S WORLD? I feel like I might want to warn Alex - "Wear a helmet so that, when you're knocked backwards, you'll have more protection." Heck, you just hafta watch that orchestra's conductor who is positively ROCKED backwards - staggered back. So - BE CAREFUL. Hundreds of reactors have used words like "blown away" and "knocked out" for good reason. This is one of those songs, too.
