Question about walking style baits. When fishing the J-Walker or a spook style bait and the fish slap at it and miss, do you continue walking it right away, or pause for a few seconds, letting it sit, before continuing to walk it back to you?

Hey Alex, What caused you to bird nest on your first cast? I’m new to fishing top water on braid and the braid is digging into the spool. Any suggestions?

I had taken that reel off another rod that’s what caused the back lash.

@Chris Mash well we you think about it I took it from a 7’3 H and put it on a 7’1 M. Those two rods load and unload completely differently. So that reel was set for the faster unload of that H rod. So going to the slower taper aloud the spool spin a little faster and cause the backlash.

Boy Grand Lake is a really tough fishery - glad you caught some there. It used to be amazing back in its hay day, but its been so overfished by HUGE tournaments coming in there every single weekend. I am curious - (I am from Oklahoma) what lake did you guys hit up in your last video? I didn't recognize the shoreline features of it. edit: also want to say that Grand Lake is much more reflective of the Oklahoma lake scenery than wherever you were last video.
