Sam Yan to Chong Nonsi ... That is my favourite market in the area. I sat in that Cafe Amazon a few times last week. Now I am 6,000 miles away.. ah, memories

Looks like a cleaner version of Ermita or Malate in Manila. Maganda at disiplinado ang mga Thais. No incessant honking of vehicle horns.

Food looks delicious but most likely loaded with salt and sugar as I remember from my meal at a similar food court in Asoke.

it is pretty tasty, agree. there's nothing wrong with sodium chloride however. we need it for the nervous system. and if you ask no sugar, they won't add it :)

@@bangkok_as_is The food is pre-made as you can see at 29:38 so the sugar and extra salt is already in the food and while our bodies need salt we don't need the food to be extra salty which is what it was like. It ruins the taste of the food for me though it maybe okay for you. However, I can see why they use extra salt which is used to help preserve the food especially when out in the open like that .

@stephenpalmer3850 re-watched the video, couldn't resist, you're right, ha, that is something. over the years one tends to get used to their surroundings, and many things stop seeming out of place :)

@bangkok_as_is yeah it caught my eye as it's not something you see everyday. 🤣
