@@miazds not really! The packs i normally buy from craft stores range from $1-$2 and only have around 20 bobbins in each pack. If i needed 1,000 bobbins and each pack was $1, then i would be spending $50 on bobbins alone. This way you save around $35 and you would only make one purchase!

@@Emma-gv9qw i know! the thing is I'm from Mexico so 16 dollars would probably turn into 32, which would go to around 38 which is like 800 pesos if I want it to get her before July haha :(

I’ve used the size 10 crochet thread. I found it’s a bit thinner than embroidery floss. The texture of it can also get annoying. I’m switching to the size 3 thread. It seems to be a little closer to the thickness of embroidery floss.

Don't know if this is any help, but I cut out my own 'faux' bobbins from cardboard boxes. It is a bit of a chore but it makes me feel good to repurpose old cardboard (it's mostly amazon boxes), I dedicate 3-4 hours to cutting up bobbins only (get your friends and family to help you- yay free labor), annnnd they're free and whenever I need more I just cut me up some more :D They don't look as neat as the real deal bobbins but they get the job done

I play flute at my school as well but play piano and acoustic guitar on my own time. I just recently started making bracelets and have yet to make my first alpha but I’m getting there. Winding embroidery floss on bobbins is probably the thing I find most relaxing at the moment but often find that I’ve run out of bobbins for all of my threads.

I play the ukulele and piano. I also sing and I just got into the Chamber Choir in my high schools, which is the hardest choir to get into. I played clarinet for like two months when I was in fifth grade and then my parents made me quit cause I was NOT good at it. I play a little guitar every now and then. Oh, and everyone's favorite demon summoning instrument of all The recorder.

Hi Alex. I also played the flute through high school. However, in college I went to an early music concert and discovered recorders'......... soprano, alto (my favorite), tenor, and bass.. I never looked back. Like you, lower-sounding instruments affect me more. Resin ones are inexpensive (Aulos) and have a beautiful sound. To me, recorders sound like babies" voices. Many videos on you tube. Enjoying and learning a lot from your videos. Thank you! PS. You said you liked cellos.....check out the similar Medieval fretted viols.
