You should look into iodine sensitivity. Its extremely hard to be allergic to shellfish and then just 1 type of normal, completely unrelated fish. Where as my brother, is not allergic to either, but has an iodine sensitivity, and most shellfish, AND some other fish like anchovies, have more iodine than an entire box of iodized salt. If he cooks with kosher salt and cuts out alot of products with iodized salt, a few times a year he can indulge in crab, shrimp and lobster with no reaction.
