@@Doingjvstice I believe that is true. On the other hand, Zagato has been in the business of developing cars for manufacture. I'm sure that a car would be very expensive, but they could probably sell enough to support a run and provide Alfa with a statement car.

@@jimiverson3085 yes they do, but very limited numbers Although this one off, was built for a German customer who is a loyal Alfa Romeo enthusiast. Zagato is very much sought-after by the finest collectors and enthusiasts.

@@Doingjvstice I don't imagine the numbers would be any higher than the 500 8Cs that were built, with commensurate pricing. I just think that Alfa needs to offer some kind of 2-seat sports car to connect with its tradition. It would be great if that car were part of regular production and priced that way, but that won't be happening in todays car world. I'd even love to see a revival of 4-cylinder Alfas. With people paying over $200K US for restomodded 105/115 GTVs, I wonder if there is a market there Alfa is missing. But I am a fan of fantasy literature, so....

@@jimiverson3085 exactly even restomods are quite a rare sight and hella expensive as the year runs by Alfa Romeo is loosing its racing tradition since 1913 Alfa made proper track cars that ran in almost all racing / rally competitions ever I think they’ve totally fallen off the ranks As it doesn’t appeal to be a drivers track car anymore Transfer of ownership is also a major factor of its inconsistencies I always wondered what a 2023 8c would look and sound like I want the 68 GTA equipped with a 4 cyl bialbero with individual throttle bodies for fast response and amazing sound while I flyby the track

You may say that Zagatos are weird, beautiful, crude, inharmonious, stupid, downright ugly, or whatever. But you can’t take away their strong identity and presence. And that’s what makes them cool. Building cars this unique and in such low numbers for big names the likes of Aston and others, while also trying not to go bankrupt command a certain level of respect.
