Interested as to why you had codes afterwards. I changed my Guilia discs/pads front and rear no issues. I left the battery connected but the fob was left well away from the car as I read having it close by can cause warning lights. I also pumped the pedal to take up the pad to piston gap before the initial function on the dash to reset the rears.

i wish i knew why it was a total PITA to clear out. Maybe because the pads were so worn and the car sensors picked up a drastic variance i do not know but it is all good now

The labor is was the easier part but afterward it threw me bunch of code and I tried multiple scanners to clear it and calibrate the sensor and it didn't work. now my only one front and one back of my breaks works. I forgot to open the pressure cap from the hood when I started to work.

@autofanaticcars
@autofanaticcars Жыл бұрын
Hi Daniel I did not do the bleed in this video because I did a detailed brake bleeding and flush video on my Alfa Romeo Giulia QV which is the exact same procedure, That video is on this channel if you search youll find it from the last summer. The codes were because the pads were so badly worn and pushing the pistons back in set the system off crazy. I scanned it with my Multi Scan Laptop and cleared codes in minutes which was a relief. You really need Multi Scan to work on the Alfa if you plan to do any DIY service yourself/

I have a 2019 Jaguar XE S AWD(Supercharged V6) that had a software tune. It is currently sitting at ~410HP(most likely at the crank). I plan on getting the supercharger pulley upgrade too, which would bump it up a little but its mainly for low end torque. The car needs some new brakes after 34k miles. I can't decide if I need the yellowstuff or if the redstuff would be more than sufficient.I plan on changing all four rotors and pads.

gonna be tough to find now. We removed the EBC pads because they developed such bad squeal we could not solve them until we replace the pads with OEM and new OEM rotors the noise became unbearable for some reason on the Stelvio but on my Giulia QV never once had any issues it might be the way the IBS was programmed between both cars.
