The sound you are hearing is almost entirely from the intake, not the exhaust. It results from using air cleaners open at the carburetors; this is a European car, not a US SPICA car. Very similar sounds emanate from SPICA cars with K&N air cleaners, but they are inhaling underhood hot air and almost certainly producing less power than the stock intake system which is quiet, but inhales ambient temperature air from the front of the car. Same goes for this carbureted car, but who cares. It is making more power than he can use and sounds wonderful.

Is it just me or does this look like irresponsible driving? Anyway, it looks like fun with a set of balls required. I just bought a '77 Alfa and I'm loving it.
