You can also use backlight from laptop screen, but it's gonna be a bit thicker.

Qual valor do Resistor colocou nos LEDs para limitar a corrente e tensão neles. Senao esquenta queima eles e consome muita bateria também.

в тестере стандартная батарейка на 9 вольт. Поэтому в видео показана полоска из 3 последовательно включенных светодиодов с падением напряжения по 3 вольта на каждом. 3х3=9. Понятное дело подсветку можно запитать напрямую с клемм подключения батареи через отдельный выключатель. Беда в том, что с родного экрана снимается нижний отражающий слой и без подсветки показания на экране будут плохо различимы.

Doesn't that LED require a resistor to prevent burnout? You fed direct viltage from the positive without an inline resistor. That will kill the battery and overheat the LED strip and lead to failure.

Great idea / but a pain in the backside & time consuming. I tried it - getting a connection to those phone leds was difficult - so gave up. I’d look into alternatives for the leds ie strip LEDs where u can get easier connection & use the foil from an old phone. I’ve prob missed something & it’d be another waste of time! The joys & pitfalls

I have old smatphones , how will I know where is their LED strip ? I've looked all over the internet , nobody has made a tutorial about how to retrieve smartphones LED and use it for DIY projects
