yupp thats tari topeng(traditional indonesian dance) and the mask we called topeng barong(mask of barong), the mitos say when we use it the mask will bring energy positif and let out the bad energy far away from barong mask, thats why balinese or javanese house so many statue of barong in front of houses. we are glad if you knew much about us, greeting from denpasar bali

Hi Jojo... Nice to see you react this track... I'll try to share my little knowledge of the myth at the last scene... That myth called "Barong", in Bali, there are some different kind of Barong, with different story' behind, it Will be take long explanation if i mention it one by one... But if i'm not wrong the Barong in this MV is called "Barong Ket".. It was a myth Creature that help human's knight to fight "Rangda" (another myth Creature from the devil's side)... So, in balinese tradition, they believe that borong mask, Barong statue and also Barong Performance can avoid the disaster or bad things... In my humble oppinion, this MV was show us the courage and the spirit of Bali and Indonesia through out the pandemic.. we still strong and unite our diversity through this desease... That dragon-thingy is called Barong, which is a tiger-like mythical creature in Balinese mythology. Barong is the king of spirits, leader of the hosts of good. That is why mostly in front of houses in Bali, you will see tiger statues. So, the song was kind of divided into 4 parts, the happy time before Corona, during Corona (interview), the little girl singing one of national anthem kinda like giving hope (no matter what this is our home, thus Alffy plugged the stick with Indonesian flag onto the ground), then lastly followed by the fight between the good and evil (the last part of dancers with red and white mask) and the tiger barong is still standing strong in the end. I'm not Balinese, so I don't understand the 1st part of the song, which is traditional Balinese song. But here is the translation for the little girl who sing one of the national anthems, after she waved to the camera. Tanah airku tidak kulupakan (My homeland, never will I forget you) Kan terkenang selama hidupku (Will always be remembered for the rest of my life) Biarpun saya pergi jauh (Eventhough I may go faraway) Tidak kan hilang dari kalbu (You will never fade away from my heart) Tanah ku yang kucintai (The homeland that I love) Engkau kuhargai (I appreciate you)
