As a die-hard fan of the late Kenny Rogers, and as one who has all of his albums, and who has seen Kenny in concert and has met him, I can tell you that Kenny would be proud. He would not find fault with this. Michael and Alfie have my applause standing up. I am a fan of Michael's. I do like the talent of Alfie. Kenny's biggest selling single was "The Gambler", tied with "Coward Of The County" produced by Larry Butler. Kenny had 21 number one hits out of EIGHTY single releases. An accurate number to indicate just how many albums or singles he sold cannot be reached, simply because his albums are still selling as are his singles. They've never stopped. Don Schlitz wrote "The Gambler" at the age of 23 in 1976. FIVE movies were made based on the song, with Kenny starring as Brady Hawkes. Still, "Islands In The Stream" takes the torch and scepter as THE BIGGEST hit or duet of all time. And if we're talking about that song, we need to say that it was written by The Bee Gees or the brothers Gibb. Well done, Gentlemen!
