Depreciation beater, if you like something because it's old, well it just gets better over time. If brand new is your thing, the shine goes away quickly and there's always someone willing to take your money for the next "latest and greatest" model. This one is a winner Alfred.

This car is awesome! I found one about a year ago, same year with 97k miles. All of the service records and all the service was done at the same dealership where I bought it. One owner car! It’s gets 29 mpg at 75 mph on the interstate, about 24 around town. I love Toyota and Lexus cars! They last forever!

My sister bought a 2006 Lexus IS350 and you can tell they built Lexus cars with high quality in mind. Even the doors feel nice when you close them, and the way the car handles feels real nice as well. Now I’m looking to get one of these gs350’s since they are bigger than the IS models, and I also like the look of them as well, plus they’re quick too.

I’ve had almost all Makes you can get in the US. Nothing treats you quite like a Lexus. The quietness is unmatched as well. No, not all makes are reliable if you do maintenance as asked. That’s a myth. Lexus has more cars over 1,000,000 miles than any other make. Reason for that. Lol. Cheers guys.

Very nice video and car, I bought my 2011 GS 350 awd a year ago for 12k at 81k miles. That's a steal to me given its age. In near perfect condition with very minor issues on the exterior. Inside is flawless with only the driver seat having a few creases previous owner absolutely took care of it. The car even got stolen from me in October. Thankfully I got it back in the same condition. Man, I absolutely love this car (although I'm jealous of your wheels lol). Black on black with the cherry red wood. Many compliments as well. Had I came across the V8 version (GS 460) I would've absolutely hopped on it but I'm fine with my blacked out Darth Vader looking v6. Is there a car community for these generations of lexus? Also I am installing a tesla style head unit to replace the outdated infotainment system just narrowing down which brand to go with
@alfredlyon27
@alfredlyon27 3 жыл бұрын
On Facebook there is a 3rd gen GS group. Many people end up returning the Tesla style units as they are very buggy. Check out the GROM V-Line 2. It uses the existing infotainment system but adds Apple CarPlay and android services.

I currently have a little over 305,000 miles. Since the video I have had no issues. Only just changed out the alternator but that’s easy and the part was free because it had a lifetime warranty. It still runs and looks like new. I am actually on a 1,000 mile road trip right now.

How does it ride and feel compared to the es 350? People told me es has better ride but others said gs is better and more luxurious. Also, is this one awd or rwd?
@alfredlyon27
@alfredlyon27 3 жыл бұрын
The ES of the same year (2008) has much softer and floaty ride. FWD is predisposed to torque steer on fast take offs. The GS has a much stiffer ride for better cornering . The RWD and electronic steering makes for a much more responsive feel of the road. It still has very quiet and comfortable ride. The ES is great but it’s a totally different car.

@@jben212 the 4th gen GS had many technological upgrades as far as safety and infotainment. As well as the F-Sport option and sport plus mode that adjusted the suspension as well as shifting faster. Hp was nearly identical within a couple of ponies and the exterior was modernized. Typically will run around $5-$10k more than the 3rd gen currently.

I owned both , a loaded 210 ES and a Loaded 08 GS 350 . The GS handles better, it is more composed when you floor the accelerator, the seats are more comfortable, with more aggressive bolsters. I prefer the style of the GS. It looks much better. I hope to keep this car super long term, as it rare, in my area, and I cannot express how much I like over any other car. I have previously owned over 30 Cars and now have a new 23' A91 Supra, CU Later. The ES has a better sound quality , when both have ML sound system. The seats are less bolstered and slightly less comfortable The engine is more quiet, trunk space is larger. I found the headlights slightly brighter. The price of ownership is slightly less with the ES.

When I bought my car it had 245k miles on it and it needed just under a quart added between oil changes. This is well within the stated specs in the owners manual. Regardless, I do my own oil changes so I tried several oil brands. All full synthetic and all 5W-30. All gave me the same results, even Mobile One. I finally tried Royal Purple and I have not had to add oil between oil changes in over 20k miles. I currently have over 287k miles on the car in the video and it looks and runs like new. Most of the oil burning on the 3rd gen GS was with the 2006 GS300.

I’m sorry to say that 06 was the worst year for the GS. At least here in America the 06 was the GS300 and the 3.0L V6 was one of, if not , the worst motors that Toyota ever made. Also, if you can’t find an 07 for $10k or less I would pass. I’ve seen clean 06s go for under $6k and I would not even pay that.
