It Barely Fits ! Massive Yachts Enter New River ( Fort Lauderdale)

Great job and thanks for sharing! So many yachts on the Fort Lauderdale New River. I'm at River Reach condo and love these super yachts coming just outside my window. Many residents sit by the west pool just to see the daily boat parade. The riverboat Jungle Queens comes by a couple times a day. Then the super huge motor yacht with the tugs. Cool boat life here in Fort Lauderdale. Thanks again!

Love all the boats and watching the towers work. What's most impressive is the amount of money coming in and out of that river. Crazy. I have nothing against money and those that are able to make it, just bet you could feed several starving countries from that river alone.

River gets very narrow

Insurance requires it for any boat over 100'.

Some of the maintenance facilities are located up the south fork of the new river. Just after the river splits (north and south), there's an 'S' curve on the south fork of the river that would likely be impossible for the larger yachts to navigate. At the 'S' curve is a park (Lewis Landing Park) where you can watch the boats go by. The largest boat I've seen being towed through the curve was about 200 feet.

If they are inbound, most likely Lauderdale Marine Center or Cable West or one of the other yards capable of pulling them out of the water. Outbound, sea trial or back to their slips or off to see the world!
