We had a student pass away my freshman year of high school and we dedicated this song to her. This is by far my favorite song we've ever played. Miss being in the band since I graduated in 2016. So many memories are brought back by listening to this.

French horn isn’t my main instrument but it’s by far my favorite. It deserves the love it gets from Galante. A good hornline will always give me goosebumps.

As a horn player since back in 5th grade and still enjoying playing in community band now in my 60s, I'm full of joy as I hear the horns in this piece. The entire arrangement is so majestic, so noble, so sublime, so magnificent! I can't hit replay often enough.

I’m in middle school playing it.. get nae naed. All seriousness though it’s difficult, so I’d hold back. I play T. Sax which is difficult and this song is just next level, especially for a middle schooler like you and me.

Once you get to High School, I definitely recommend it. I'm sure your teacher will approve of it, it's a very good festival and performance piece. It is also very challenging, and good for teaching.

Can someone kind of explain to me how grade level music works in schools? For example, grade 2 to 3 music is for middle school. Sorry. I'm homeschooled. I'd really like to know so that I know what I'm up against when I enter a college or university. :D
@obinnanwakwue57356 жыл бұрын
Grade 1 music = 6th/early 7th grade bands Grade 1.5 music = 7th grade bands Grade 2 music = 8th grade bands Grade 2.5 music = 8th/early high school bands Grade 3 music = second-year high school bands Grade 3.5 - 4 = late high school bands Grade 5+ = college/professional (typically)

Obinna Nwakwue We play level 3.5 in my honor band and we’re in sixth seventh and eighth grade, and honestly we all wish we could play something harder
@parvgosai5 жыл бұрын
Publishers (typically) grade pieces differently from the state music associations. As someone from Virginia, the pieces range from grade 0.5-6. And of course, not all bands are the same level, but from my middle school bands, here’s what I can tell you: Grade 0.5- 5th grade Grade 0.5/1- 6th grade Grade 2 - 7th grade Grade 3/4 - 8th grade Grade 4/5 (depending on how good you are) - 9-12 grade
@aidanj83895 жыл бұрын
SilverFlute I just moved to Virginia I’m going to be in the top ensemble so does that mean we could be playing songs like this and harder? I moved from Illinois and the band program is really good but much different than here.
