I have great memories playing it in high school on the clarinet part. We played it Freshman year and my senior year us seniors requested to play it again.

@@gracemiller5472 I remember I used to roll the piccolo outwards and look down slightly as it made the note fall flat. I hope that helps some, can't remember exactly how I did it. It was something like 6 years ago

I just read the other comments you've replied and let me say y'all so talented! In my senior year, we was performing this piece and and A LOT of 7th/8th graders was there. They was watching us and was speechless. The fact that y'all performed this song is amazing. For real, y'all put as much practice as my band did and I was in symphonic band when I performed this piece

When I listen to this song, I always think of an army in a fantasy land going to save the princess. Like when the low brass gets intense, I think of like the enemy’s maneuvers and shit. It all kinda fits. I just wish I could put it into animation

I am the only bassoonist in our band and we don’t have a bass clarinet so I have to hold out the low G by myself. Rest In Peace for anyone that tries to hold it out by their self.

I was a bassoonist long ago (01-08). Played this piece too. Sometimes having to hold that by myself or holding up a weak low voice section. The last time I played it was in 07 with the freshman band and myself and the bass clarinet player took a breath at the very same time, leaving a break in that low G. It was hilarious. A fun piece. Listen to it every year

I got put onto 2nd part for clarinet on this piece for our Christmas concert, the triplets were not hard but its just trying to find a place to breath. Tbh not my favorite piece I've played but people sure enjoyed listening to it.

I was a clarinet player, then the director handed me a tenor sax and this piece ant told me to deal with it. It was fun to learn though, and I got it down pretty quickly.😁😁
